Command: Modern Operations turns 10
Earlier today, I was reading an article in The Gamer. It lists the games that are turning 10 in 2023. Command Modern Operations is part of that list, alongside classics like Company of Heroes 2 and Total War: Rome 2, games that we would have never imagined considering direct competition ten years ago.
Matrix Games and Slitherine
Fast forward to today, we are preparing our first Slitherine Next conference, with games such as Broken Arrow and Master of Magic being presented. Undoubtedly, these titles are up there competing with the big AAA releases. It is one of the reasons why we had to create a clear distinction between our wargamer-focused Matrix Games games and the Slitherine, more mainstream products. Ten years is a long time in the world of video games, but it’s interesting to see how much the Slitherine group of companies has accomplished merely through the eyes of what we have released. It speaks a lot about our will to keep working both on the serious wargames hobby, and the broader market, and it’s also proof that our approach is working well so far.
Big Releases
Matrix Games is a brand of reference for all wargamers around the world. This holiday season, we are celebrating the genre with some important releases, such as the long-anticipated Flashpoint Campaigns: Southern Storm, Command: Modern Operations - Falklands, and War in the East 2: Steel Inferno. It’s a testament that we keep working with our developers to nurture the hobby and take it to the next level. The Holiday Sale is also active until the beginning of January. You can grab your favorite games and complete your collection, or just browse and wishlist. We’re also excited about what is coming next. We’ve got big releases in the first quarter of 2023 such as Nuclear War Simulator and Rule the Waves 3.
More news about your favorite franchises will also be coming soon, so keep coming back to the site, check the forums and stay in touch even during the upcoming breaks.
