Hi!
Great to see you made it to launch it! If you are playing vs. AI, Matto said it works well with advantage to the Soviets, guess on veteran difficulty level. I am very happy when I see people enjoy this piece, I've spent loads of time designing and testing it with You and Dan. I don't know if you noticed, there are adjustments made since the previous version we were playing.
Reds are a bit stronger (more MPP's). Triggers for Polish Volunteer Army are moved a bit more to West [ As Soviets approach Polish heartland, more and more volunteers come to reinforce the army), so it gives Soviets more space at the beginning. Also both sides got some new Units. Elite Infantry - two divisions for Soviets, I gave it to those units that were mentioned in sources as "The Reds toughest". Ex. 25th "Chapayeskaya" Rifle Divison.
Budionny's Cavalry Army has one special unit: Horse Artillery. It can keep pace with advancing Soviet raiders, but can carry less ammo then regular arties.
On the other hand Poles have three "Legion" Divisions. They were formed based on three Brigades of "Polish Legions" which were fighting on Central Powers side in the Great War. Those guys were Pilsudski's "guards", and their officers were proven in fire and loyal to the cause. In sources about the 1920 War they are mentioned as those that were never routed, and kept discipline even in retreat.
As for Ukrainians - their initial Army that joined Pilsudski 's gamble against Soviets were quite small, but experienced. They were fighting Soviets since 1919, and Gen. Petlura was leading them. In the game player can built them up. Historically, there were plans to expand them, but because they were relaying on supplies from Poles, there were never enough weapons for them, especially when Warsaw was endangered, they were put back in the list of the priorities. Their names are historical, according to the literature. For example "Zilizna Divison" means "Iron Divison".
Also finally event about Vilnus works. Soviet can hand it over to the Lithuanians and gain some MPP's after they capture it. Later in the game Poles can choose to fake mutiny in some of their troops and reclaim it back. Either way it has a big impact on the Northern part of the front.
I hope you are enjoying it playing with AI, resting after all those MP matches!

Cheers

Hi,
as you are familiar with map and terrain, I've never asked: Did you find any geographical mistakes on my map?
I always wonder If I miscalculated some distances, or run a river wrong :|

Everything looks great geographically. I even like the Polish names of certain towns that are a bit different then the English versions on maps I have studied for decades....and wargamed over haha.

HI!
I am doing some improvements to the MOD. I am checking the scripts again.
I got a few silly questions:
1. In game, what's the hotkey for hiding the unit bar, i mean the biggest bar down screen? It would help me to closely look the edges of the map during test plays.
2. Also I don't know why, but front lines are not displaying anymore...Maybe I switched it off by some hotkey[and then it's my settings problem]? Or I changed something in editor? Anybody knows how to bring them back? Or where to look for bugs?
3. Some POP-ups that should be visible for one side only, are visible to the other player...where should I look for mistake in script?
I will keep you guys posted!

question 1:Try F4. I had a helluva a time in SC-WW1 before I figured this out when moving stuff down in the Red Sea/Arabia on the SE corner of the board :)
question 2: I read that some folks are having problems with this behavior, and its a bug introduced in the last patch. I think they are sorting that out.
question 3: Not sure.
Yeah keep us posted Jazon!

On 3, these two are important, especially the second one:

; #PRIVATE= Should the event remain private to the side receiving it? (values range [0, 1]; False= 0; True= 1)

; #DISPLAY_TURN= On what turn do we display this popup event? (values range [0, 2]; Any= 0; Axis Turn= 1; Allied Turn= 2)

Hi, thanks for reply!
1. Ah, yes, I remember on my previous laptop it was F4, but new one probably has different keyboard settings. I need to figure it out...
2. Yeah, it's strange, in my MOD the blue front line appears between Poland and neutral countries, but between Soviets and Polish lines there isn't any line. There is only a bit of a highlight. I wonder if it is because, Poland and Soviets starts already in war? Because when I opened the Call to arms scenario, after declaration of war, there is a blue line between the Germans and the French.
3. Thank you Bill! Yes, now it works as it should!

I got another question: How to set campaign settings, that both sides receive MPP's only through military income? Switch off the collecting MPP's from resources? I checked the Luddendorf scenario, but campaign settings looks alike with my 1920 MOD. Is this is a script issue?
Thanks for support and replies!

Hi!
Does who seek shall find!
1. I figured out why there was no "front line" between the Soviets and the Poles. By accident I switched off "belligerence" for Soviets in Edit Country window. Eureka!
2. As for collection of MPP's i figured I can manipulate the value by Industrial Modifier, also in Edit Country window.

Right now I play hot seat game with myself to track down any other bugs, stay tuned!

Hi, thank you for you reply. Not sure I understoof what I should check on Youtube. Anyway, I have my game from Steam. I am afraid this can be part of the problem, as I have no "Save" folder in the game directory.

The save folder is in a different place to where the game itself is installed.

You should be able to find the Campaigns folder (this is the one where mods are to go) here:

%HOMEPATH%\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI

oh thank you very very much.... :-) I found it, and i can see that the saved files are over there...

now, do you know by chance how i can make the game to load them, when i want to restart the match? becasue this is where the problem is.... i receive a message like "counà't find a directory Polish-Soviet etc."... maybe I should move this "save" folder somewhere else?

It sounds as though the campaign isn't in the correct place. It should be within the Campaigns folder within the location I mentioned above, otherwise it won't work.

PS Do not move the save folder, or any other for that matter.

it works!! thank you very very much.... :-)

thought strangely I have now the same problem for the 1996 Abyssinian Campaing... i moved this to the correct folder, and i can see that the saves go the the "save" folder... but again i cannot launch it (unlike the Polish campaign..."
