[ELO Ended]
JNaspirant (axis) [LOSS] v. ThunderLizard11 (allies) [Win] - Axis resigns March '43. Allies on rampage through Pacific. DEI retaken. Parts of Phillipines and many morale dropping islands like Saipan. Japan bogged down in China. Barbarossa bogged down. Stalingrad has fallen but Moscow and Baku still held by Soviets. Supplies flowing to Soviets with MPP near 1000. Final straw for allies was fall of Italy in Feb '43. Well played by JNaspirant with regular return of turns and smart moves.

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament
[LOSS] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs Moonchild (Axis) ---
Russians toast in January 1943. Allies surrender.
Unable to even scratch the paint off the advance, the Reds rollover.
Stalingrad lost January 1943.
Persia will be toast next turn.
Leningrad very weak.
Moscow taking heavy damage.
Problem, Russians have no MMPs and cannot even get an exchange.
Americans had to land early in desperation in Italy.
Half of Sicily taken.
Northern Italy a force landed, captured 3 cities.
Doesn't matter, Russia gone.
Pacific, that's always the fun front, but doesn't matter. Russia toast.

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament
ELO ended:
JNaspirant (Axis) LOSS vs. Pekkavilamoura (Allies) WIN
Axis left Africa aside and went with full panzer power to southern Russia, swiftly taking Stalingrad and then turning north to take Moscow.
Which they took after fierce fighting. Things got critical for Stalin when Germans took Kubyitschev.
But at that point the panzer divisions were exhausted with overextended, partisan contested supply lines and Russian winter coming, so they didn't have the power for those 300 kms more to Perm anymore and had to start withdrawing.
But what really saved Russia was a successful Overlord which forced the Germans to send some of those valuable panzer korps to France.
Berlin fell late '45.
Japan still held most of China and other key territories, Allies took Manila and landed in southern China but it was an extremely tough fight, Chunking only fell in March '47, two rounds before the game end. Allies took Hiroshima but then it was game over, Tokyo didn't fall.
Great game.

aquavita (axis) [LOSS] v. redrum68 (allies) [WIN]

Allor (AKA gadjan) (allies) [LOSS] v. ThunderLizard11 (axis) [WIN] - Allies resign Dec' 43 after Overlord pushed into the sea. Russia on the ropes with Urals captured and panzers at the gates of Moscow. Allies dominated in N. Africa and took back Norway. Allies did well with diplo moving Sweden toward allies cutting off supplies and keeping Finland on Allied side. Pacific was dominated by Japs with Hawaii taken in '42 and Australia about to collapse. Allies took back Burma and were advancing down Malay peninsua. Wesr Coast well protected with massive fleet. Overall fun game and gadjan was fast to return turns.

Rough game for the allies as the Axis played an MPP starvation game keeping US and Soviet pre war readiness near 10% or less until mid 41. Soviets could not muster enough mass to absorb the german panzer punch. Fun game.

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament
Good matchup: Pete vs OldAHgamer. Played you both, solid ranked players. Allies won in 1947. Wow, had to be great action. How close was it? I had one come down to the last turn! And I screwed up of course
@Fredo --- Make a new thread, within this directory, called "Multiplayer Sessions". Post any preferences. Such as, you want to play ELO. Do you want Beginner, Intermediate, Expert opponent. What side? (maybe you don't care). Etc. You can see all the player's looking for action previous posts.

Our fearless leader, EarlyDoors, appears to have gone AWOL. Does anybody else know how to update the ranking table? Glad to help.
