What games are you playing?

Tried out Victoria 3, but it needs probably around a year before the gameplay is perfected. Was interesting for a bit. Just finished the new Panzer Corps 2 DLC as well, quite decent addition. Hell Let Loose is something I get back to all the time too, and they're adding flamethrowers soon, so I will probably keep playing it.

I play Overwatch 2 right now, I play it with friends it's even more entertaining. Esp I like playing the game with friends. When I don't have time for playing I ask pro players from Overwatch 2 boost service to play instaed of me and improve my rank. They can hep to improve gaming skills and and easily get new achievements. Useful service for gamers.

Re: What games are you playing?
I'm playing Europa Universalis 4 (updated to the latest "Lions of the North" DLC) as Florence. Long game, as usual. I managed to form Italy and to knock both Austria and France out of the Great Powers club but this round Spain is just stunning. I'm around 1720 and there is a rush for North Africa. I occupied coastal Libya and left the interior to Portugal.
I can't really go against Spain, however, as the Ottomans in the East and a looming presence. Poland created the Commonwealth with Lithuania, too, and are another powerhouse. I fear that stagnation is settling in but with about 100 more years to go anything can still happen. We'll see.

I've been playing Old World, which is a great Civ-like game. It has a good combination of 4X design elements, including orders, which mean you have a finite number of actions each turn, such as moving units, construction, certain character functions, etc. Increasing your order capacity is obviously a top priority.
Regarding Vicky 3, my current approach to Paradox games is to wait 4-5 years for a Humble Bundle sale, and then pick up the base title with 4-5 DLCs for $20. I have no interest in funding their development.
I bought HOI4 in a Humble Bundle maybe a year ago and got about three playthroughs out of it. That's OK for $20, not OK for $100+.
Cheers,
CB

Re: What games are you playing?
Had a LAN party type of thing with anime club. We had a reservation in this one place with desktop computers all boasting RTX 3080 Ti. We played Gundam Evolution. I couldn't get much excited about it: seemingly all mobile suits move the same with only differences in weapons and equipment. Otherwise it felt more like a first person shooter like Overwatch, and less like a mecha simulation like MechWarrior video game series. I played with Zaku II. Now I'm back to my old favourites again: MegaMek/MekWars, X-Piratez, and I bought Ion Fury for a change of pace.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

If number of posts are an indication of chess strength, then I guess mine is accurate. I also play Xiangqi (Chinese chess), Janggi (Korean chess) and Shogi (Japanese chess)
I've also been playing Nerf Arena Blast, but don't tell anybody

Chariots of War by Slitherine. Having a go at taking over the ancient world again.
I'm also doing the odd dungeon or two in Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO).

I got stonewalled in this one free wargame Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius. I decided to give it one more try on easier difficulty level and I'm on a roll now.

Re: What games are you playing?
Playing Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius. And OMG ROFLMAO! Did I just do that!? Player's main ship, the space carrier Sunrider, is total OP at this point! Game has 2 types of action points: every unit has energy used for basic movement, weapons, and possible special actions like repairs, buffs (temporarily increased accuracy), or debuffs (temporarily decreased aiming). In addition Sunrider has got command points and related actions, though only 1 command action can be used in a turn. Got new addition to command actions (something warp) which practically teleports the Sunrider where ever on the map AND allows another command action on the same turn. With enemy ships in neat rows, I warped Sunrider on top of enemy carriers, then used another command action to fire Sunrider's main gun at the 2 carriers. It shoots straight line over 6 hexes and hit everything in the way. That didn't take Sunrider's energy points, so I finished crippled carriers with combination of heavy guns (70% energy) and missiles (30% energy). Next turn I had Sunrider do normal movement on top of enemy battleship line and main gun hit & sink all enemy battleships! Mecha carried by Sunrider hit enemy mecha and scenario over in just 2 turns!

I'm currently playing God of War Ragnarok. It's probably one of the best games I've played in a while. I'm also currently replaying Battlefield 4, I really like it. I'm not playing anything else so far.

Re: What games are you playing?
Yesterday evening I bought Boltgun. Game looks like made with Build engine (Duke Nukem 3D was the first example of it), but has HD resolution (maybe even higher ones for appropriate monitors) and masses over 4 GB. Still a decent first-person shooter. At least it's better than Fire Warrior. Whatever, it's fun, and that's what's important. I also got back to Jupiter Hell, medium difficulty this time.
