Hyperdrive not working

Tried pre-warp and tech7 start.

Ships jumps at random distance along the path, then sit there idle, not moving while displayng speed is 10000

I'm not entirely clear based on your description.

Pre-Warp and TL7 are mutually exclusive.

If you have a save file showing the issue from your /data/savedgames folder could you please zip it and upload it here for us?

that ship jumped some distance and then stuck in this location. tried x4 speed - no change

The ship is surveying. It will stay there a while to learn what it can about the planet, then go somewhere else.

The skip drive is working fine.

Not surveying. Speed is 10000. Ship standing still.

Hm. I did load your save and it seemed find on my end though.

I did notice that the exploration ship is on manual control. That means it won't automatically move on to the next destination.

In the video, the explorer is on manual control and being given move orders from one spot in space to another. In order to explore, it either needs to be automated or you need to select it and right click on the location (planet, star or asteroid) you want explored and let it go there and explore.

I tried hypermove escort ship - same result. stuck after hyperjump. Fully automated explorers - same result. Hyperdrive isn't working for me :(

I took a look at your save file. The Shady Vagrant is under manual control and has no hyperdrive. The Dum-Braddin Guardian jumped as close to the planet as it could with its skip drive. I watched it finish moving on engines and then survey successfully.

You should retrofit the Shady Vagrant to get it hyperdrives if you want to keep it on manual control. The Dum-Braddin Guardian seems to be working fine. Note that it needs to survey that location more than once to get it up to maximum exploration level (15), which is why you see one survey finish, then another start. Each time the exploration level increases until it gets to its maximum and then moves on.

I agreed to an advisor suggestion to build 3 more exploration ships. As soon as they were completed, they started exploring too.

I have the same problem and its not cause they have no hyperdrive or are on manual control.
I have that problem in every game and it is still there after you researched the 3. warp drive, engines and so on.
You can set 20 explorers on auto and all of them get stuck somewhere on their way, they are not moving anymore unless I give them different orders, soon after that they are stuck again.

I have the same issue. Have a fleet that warped in as a group, none are damaged, yet they can't warp out. Save file attached. Handuueni fleet.

EDIT: Apparently, the system the fleet is in is a gravitic anomaly, which I think I read screws you if you don't have the proper technology? Do I just abandon the entire fleet?

I tried that. Went so far as to break the fleet apart and reform it, issue order..again no joy. What's worse is I went to an earlier save and avoided the system, but the advisor keeps spamming me with requests to investigate it. Wish there was an option to decline permanently!

I believe that problem arises with low-end graphic-card.

Unbelievable, but I think you might be on to something as I fit that category. I thought I was doing something wrong until I started a new Pre-Warp game and immediately set Full Automation (Rule in Absence) and the same problem[1] happened. Ultimately, I refunded the game and will wait until later this year if the game improves.

[1] The skip drive explorer would warp, but if you cycled explorers with "X", the target reticle would be on their departure point, there would be no ship model, and for decades it would remain at speed 10000. Newer explorers with the next tech would forever be stuck at speed 200000.
