New scenario for testing: Sudan strike

Post by Stanley_The_Rolmate »

Hello everyone, I have recently made my first scenario for the community and would like to know what you yhink about it, it is called Sudan strike 2025.

Scenario description:
In 2022 after a change in leadership caused by the 2021 coup and its aftershocks, and after a long series of negotiations, Sudan and Russia finally signed an agreement for the establishment of a Russian naval base at Port Sudan on the Red Sea coast.
In exchange for a 50-year lease, Sudan received Russian military, economic and political aid. In late 2024 the construction of the base was completed and opened with a grand ceremony emphasizing a new era of Sudanese-Russian cooperation.

In may 2025 a small incident on the Korean peninsula has spiraled out of control into a global conflict. 4 days ago Russian forces crossed into the Baltics and Ukraine, and Russian aircraft attacked Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Slovakian, Greek and after a failed diplomatic effort Turkish targets.
Since the start of the conflict, US diplomats have been attempting to negotiate with Sudan for the closure of the Russian base and the expulsion of Russian personnel in exchange for various economic and political incentives. So far, these negotiations have completely failed.
After the reopening of the Suez yesterday and in light of the progress being made in reopening the Bab-el-Mandeb, it was decided to give the Sudanese government an ultimatum to expel all Russian personnel by 8:00 GMT. The Sudanese government has chosen to not accept any of the terms of the ultimatum.

After the Sudanese government's refusal to expel Russian personnel, it has been decided to use military force to destroy the Russian base and any Sudanese forces that interfere.

Thanks for sharing.
I liked it a lot. Not a overwhelming scenario where you have to go from left to right.

To do this well you have to use ISR, make a good timetable, use every A/C type to it's advantage.

Just before playing I was drawn away from the game, but I will try the plan later on. Time is a killer [:(]
Very nice setup!

Hi Stanley

Nice scenario. Won but lost a few aircraft. Mostly to me being stupid.

Only thing I would suggest is to take a look at the air strike on the surface group. My experience was they got chopped to pieces by the escorts SAMS without any intervention on my part other than spotting them.

Overall pretty cool. Keep up the good work[:)]

Post by Stanley_The_Rolmate »

Hello, thanks for the replies and feedback. I have made an updated version of the scenario that fixes various missions and events that weren't working properly, and changed/added various units to make the Sudanese convoy strike more effective.

Changelog V2.2 (18-1-2022):
-Fixed issue with Sudan ferry mission
-Adjusted Sudanese patrol areas
-Added loitering munitions to Sudan
-Replaced Sudanese Su-24s with more advanced Iranian Su-24s
-Changed aircraft loadouts of Sudanese strike aircraft
-Adjusted Sudan convoy strike timetable
-Fixed various spelling mistakes in briefing
-Changed scoring

Hi Stanley, great work. I loved it.

I played a modified version, using less F-15E of the later batch, able to carry more JASSM missiles.
I combined them with GBU-31 to take out the hard targets.

I did a first "stealth" package with 8 F-35 and 4 F-15E with JASSM, followed by a second package with 8 F-16 and 2 F-15E.
All target KO and no losses. The F-35 were great for CAP and SEAD with SDB.

Thanks!

Francesco
