A Fitting Outcome

A WW2 Navy torpedo bomber ditching in the ocean. If that isn't a fitting display I don't know what is. [;)]

If duct tape doesn't fix it then you are not using enough duct tape.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity and I’m not sure about the universe-Einstein.

It didn't seem to be sinking fast or at all. I guess the water was shallow enough.

I have a different take on this. The pilot could have done his crash landing further out to avoid peradventure landing right atop someone's head! There is no way the pilot could see over the cowling if he was going to land on anyone or not. Even if he could see, at that speed he'd never be able to avoid hitting anyone in the beach swimming area. He landed right among swimmers. He got LUCKY he didn't kill anyone. If he landed on someone's kid, which he very easily could have done and this wouldn't be a happy story about saving a vintage aircraft. I like history and old aircrafts too, and believe they should be preserved. But not AT ALL COST. I'd burn every vintage aircraft to ashes if I had to, just to protect one member of my family.
