Japanese Ta-Chi 13 Radar

Post by jcax101 »

Hi,

Stock Scenario 1.

Which service (Army or Navy) uses the Ta-Chi 13 (device 1468), and what units use it? Did a preliminary scan of Flak and Engineer units but didn't see it. And I only found a few Navy Base Forces (Sasebo and Okinawa) that use the Ta-Chi 6. Does that sound accurate?

Thanks,
Scott

There are a few, to find them you need to download into csv files and then search. I haven't looked at Stock 1 in a long time and don't remember which units, but there aren't many.

The AF BN units use it. They are marked with an E. There are two types of these E avitation units. One uses the Tai Chi 13.

Grafin,

Could you help a fella out with where the E is located? Is it on the unit screen in the game or in the Editor? Or maybe you remember which units[:D]

While going back through the editor I found a few more named JAAF BF that use the Ta-Chi 6 so that helps.

Thanks,
Scott

nope they named the radar after a kind of meditation :

I can see rows of 'operators' sitting cross legged and 'ommmm' as their minds reach over the pacific skies to get a hold on that b24 !

Thanks for the screen shot, and I checked that same unit as well as a few other of the JAAF Bn. No = sign indicating an upgrade. A little more background I should have provided. I'm in a PBEM, Jul 42, with the latest patch but without any Beta. In the editor my JAAF Bn show the sound detector is device 1467, but it doesn't upgrade to anything. Ironically device 1468, the Ta-Chi 13 is right next to it, but there isn't an upgrade path to it. Was it a correction in the Beta?

Something else I just noticed is that I don't have the text in parenthesis by the Show unit TOE.

As always thanks for the help. Great game and great forum.

Maybe instead of describing post some screens so people can actually see what you're looking at?

I think it can be a scenario data error - that could be found in older scenario version or being included in some alternative scenarios. I am playing japan and having the same issue - the IJAAF Bn is using the listening device that do not upgrade to anything. It is a pbem started in 2012.

1468 isn't active until 4207. it won't show any upgrade until after that. AND you need to have units in the pool which is tough as it only builds 10.
