Well, congratulations to whoofe for winning both of our matches.

Congrats on getting wrapped up before we even officially get underway!
Anyone have VP screen to post, or point totals?
Interested to see the different way people tackle the objectives.

Would that be because of trying to land on a small field with damage and totaling the plane? Distance back to base?

This and probably bad weather, which is very critical in the poor road places. Also Axis air units has some "logistical" advantage after the friendly logistics when they attack.

There could be many factors on having such bad outcome. So far I don't see you losing air war.

Can you post a screenshot? I'm not aware of this kind of error in the game.

aces8 has let me know that he has to drop out of the tournament. Smokindave34 as our alternate gets to take his place. So this is the new lineup.

lerugray vs. locusmaximus
LiquidSky vs. Smokindave34
john47 vs. jhdeerslayer
cato vs. johnboym
ultradave vs. whoofe
Trajan vs. reggimann
Belphegor vs. grab
jckerr4 vs. Seminole

"It's when he comes to the fight with 88 fighters, 41 bombers, and I meet him with 56 fighters, only to score a single fighter kill while 34 of my fighters go down in flames.
Or he has 55 escorts, 36 bombers, which I meet with 46 fighters, only to get NO kills, and see 21 of my fighters splashed.
This is kind of a Tunisian Turkey Shoot, which surprises me because I didn't think the disparity in morale/exp was that great... "

Maneuverability maybe- due to airframe, Does every German fighter there out dance every Allied fighter? Allied fighters all using droptanks too?

Torch is different as the Luftwaffe still have a significant edge.

So far we have 2 games completed and 9 in progress. LiquidSky and Smokindave34 have both set up games but they have not yet been accepted. Trajan, reggimann, and jckerr4 have not yet set up a game (jckerr4 did set up and play a game but it was accepted by a non-tournament playe, a warm up game perhaps?). Please set up a game if you have not yet done so, and be sure to accept the games set up by your opponents. Whoofe appears to have defeated unltradave in the first match completed (a match that took less than 48 hours to complete).

Yes. Don't know about him but my wife has been studying for a final exam so I've had FREE TIME since I've already graded all my classes' exams and posted grades.

He accepted the Axis side challenge I posted, but not yet the Allied side.
We played the first two turns yesterday.
When does the 48 hour clock come into effect?

Here are the victory point totals from whoofe and my games. I'll see if I can get in and print the VP screens.

I posted final positions and VP totals from both matches between me and whoofe. Not really and AAR but I put it there rather than clutter this thread with a string of pictures

That was a very close match, with the first game being 1 point away from an Allied minor victory. We now have two completed matches (4 games), 9 other games in progress, and three waiting to be started. Only one player has not yet been heard from. If we don't hear from that player, we'll be looking for one more person to take his place. If you are interested, please post here. Thanks.

that is interesting - one more (or one less) plane or tank or gun destroyed could have been the difference, perhaps

Yea it is funny. These games were over quickly as five turns went pretty quick in this mini-scenario.
