1 MAR 1917
The last great offensive! (I hope so) After my initial attacks Entente braked lines in two points. Brussels taken! I wasn't able to use a gap in CP forces but I think BVW will retreat his forces in this sector. Italians have road open to threaten Germans cities Munich and Nuremberg. Antwerp is blocked and bombarded from the sea. My main dirrection of this offensive is at north- ammo will be sent to this sector in firs place.
In Serbia I keep pinned down Ottomans cavalry.
In Russia quiet.
Serbia: I captured Belgrade early and foolish Serbian Generals pushed a bridge too far... I really thought that I would transition this to a CP Victory there at least. Meanwhile, this Front become a thorn in my side for the entire war, a base from which the Western Entente could add forces and link up with the Russians to support them from wanting to surrender!
Romania/Bulgaria:
A meat grinder, I thought I could do something here even though I was outgunned and I kept sending forces in, feeding this meat grinder, while meanwhile my western front and Italian fronts were collapsing. The real truth is this, the CP just couldn't match the Entente gun for gun or man for man. To further add to my misery was the situation in Turkey and the Caucasus.
Turkey: I thought I could invade and take the Russian Neck, pulling troops and supplies here from the Eastern Front. The fact is that the terrain in most places and the supply issues benefited the Russians so much that I couldn't really achieve a decisive victory here. It was a waste of resources but it could have caused the Russians to decide to Surrender on the flip side. "Such a very hard decision to continue the War here, but once committed you cannot just rail out Ottoman Troops and Supplies they're stuck!"
Italy:
I was ill prepared and I wasn't even dug in for him, each maneuver I made was again a meat grinder and I was slowly eaten alive on this front. I was trying to do too much at once and this was a costly error. I never have been so hurt by the Italy Nation, I wish it wouldn't have been that way. I really think that here and the error in Russia is what cost me the war!
Western Front:
The French and British were completely handed their rear in 1914... Every engagement may have cost me men, but it cost him far more men. The only point of hurt was the Battle for the North Sea. I lost a lot more than I gained from this battle and I could never regain naval initiative even though I had really dished out more suffering than I'd taken. The CP moved dangerously close to Paris but eventually as always the British moved to sweep away my chances at an early victory. I put my heart into blasting away every French unit, but there were too many. In the early days of the war Suprass was willing to sacrifice his men and position but as the war progressed this front become the death of me. I was pushed back beyond German borders and by 1917, large chunks of Germany were all but Entente controlled. I really never had the initiative past 1914 and the dug in British/French troops meant little was going to move them. I tried pretty much everything, but I fumbled any chance at a victory here by not having any sort of tactic to deal with the overwhelming Numbers and Superior Tactics.
Russia:
I did alright here, I never offered a KO blow to the Tsar and yet I made error after error... in 1915 I finally gave the Russians a free get of jail card pretty much, although they were on the verge of losing their nation into 1916. I think they likely would have surrendered HAD I JUST pushed that extra mile. Suprass well managed his position here and deserves the victory. He never let me really take down large numbers of Russian troops. He never let me encircle and run down the Russian masses with my cavalry and smash them with by big guns! Which I love to do... Along with failures in Italy/Serbia early...nothing and I repeat nothing but an inept opponent could lose after what Suprass did in 1915 and 1916... 1000 German Manpower was bled in Troops alone, on all fronts! The Russians offered a constant Hussar Hassling of the Eastern CP Lines. I could only dream of knocking out one opponent to free up troops and industry to do damage elsewhere. As technology progresses in this game and units stack...Winning is not easy
I almost believe that since we bog down so early in the game, some of the technologies for trench breakthroughs should come earlier! Though it is realistic! Very fun and interesting game, I learned more than I had known before and I do not think I can be beat now.
P.S. Naval War:
Suprass owned me every wave, every massive naval engagement. I may have taken more strength points out on the British early but in the end the British could afford to repair and the German Navy was ill at best... What I would give for just 1 MORE SHIP : )
This Game was very interesting. I like it a lot. I have used new tactics (Serbs attacking AH cities- at last new for me)
For me in Russia there was a war of nerves. Siting and waiting for an attack through half of 1915 and 1916 was eating me. I don't know situation on CP side of the front but it was looking they are just one step from victory at northern sector.
... meat grinder... It's a good word for this game. I have't seen so bloody fights ever.
Personelly, I would have enjoyed watching Surprass continue to grind BVW to dust, then again, I have no compassion for either one of you for kicking my ass, in ongoing matches! lol....
All kidding aside; The changes to the "Russian Revolution", seemed to have balanced the game out in a positive way.

You have to remember- higher you go you can score longer fall... In our current game with BVW I could make an AAR how not to play I've made errors like 12 years old child
Every one have to be focused and look for enemy's errors. Especially when you feel like you have seen everything! There is always someone that has different look at strategy and tactics.
BVW is proofing it me now. You are proofing me it too.
So- no matter you are new or old player- get your gears up and to the trenches!!!
