PS  For a historical precedent for his incompetence he should have a read of the Dardenelles campaign.

So the game proves if you do something stupid you get bad results.

This should get the thread locked and deleted.

" This is a typical liberal whiner, wondering why he has to pay for it, and why they cant make it easier for him to understand."

I at first thought that he may have just been a teenager and didnt understand that not evrything in life is given to you. But after rereading the post, it appears he put way too much time and effort into trying to steal it, and then getting upset that he couldnt get it to work, to be a teenager.

My kids dont have that much attention span.

"liberal whiner"

Actually, I find this more offensive than the original post. And that was pretty offensive to my mind. I count two trolls now.

styer27, ssomething about Task Force running into minefield:

On the night of 19 December–20 December, Neptune, leading the line, struck two mines, part of a newly laid Italian minefield. The other cruisers present, Aurora and Penelope, also struck mines.

While reversing out of the minefield, Neptune struck a third mine, which took off her propellers and left her dead in the water. Aurora was unable to render assistance as she was already down to 10 knots (19 km/h) and needed to turn back to Malta. Penelope was also unable to assist.

The destroyers Kandahar and Lively were sent into the minefield to attempt a tow. The former struck a mine and began drifting. Neptune then signalled for Lively to keep clear. (Kandahar was later evacuated and torpedoed by the destroyer HMS Jaguar, to prevent her capture.)

Neptune hit a fourth mine and quickly capsized.
-------------------------
Neptune, 4 mine hits, sunk
Penelope, 1 mine hit, heavy damage
Aurora, 1 mine hit, heavy damage
Kandahar, 1 mine hit, sunk

i find it odd that the very thing that makes this game challenging and more than a mere arcade experience is the target of his complaint. i've had ae for a little over a year now and am still discovering the subtleties needed to successfully plan and execute an invasion, etc. imo, that's precisely what makes the game so interesting and well worth the price. on an hourly basis, ae is the cheapest game i've ever purchased.

I find it funny how people are calling me names and insulting me just for mentioning a few negative comments, what an extremely boring place this must be if all you guys do is talk sweet sugar crap to eachother, too scared to speak thier mind for fear of becoming a "troll" Well, i find most of this community here are very immature, so immature they dont even know about file sharing on the internet, but im not gonna waste my breath explaining it.

I notice you guys have pulled up the most disasterous mine experience of the war, probably a 5 second google search, but losing 3 medium ships and another few damaged is realistic. The amount of ships i lost wasnt realistic, it wasnt even funny, i reloaded the turn about 10 times for a result that would save at least one of my BB's, but to no avail, try to justify the game mechanics all you want but your only insulting your own intelligence, its clearly a rediculous result, am i going to pour in 500 hours into this game only to have my entire KB wiped out on a random mine encounter? Its ruined the whole game for me, but i had to restart everything.

Anyway, im not wasting my time here anymore, its gonna take a long time to pull all these daggers and arrows lodged in me, all for what? just caus i had a negative opinion in a situation, so hang me, burn me at the stake, whip me ....... whatever.

Oh dear, what a terrible loss. Do you think if we apologise he would come back?

Wait a sec, first he bums a copy of a game we all payed for....then he's not bright enough to realise file sharing copyrighted material is theft....and proceeds to winge the reaction he has received.....I take it back - good riddens I say.

There are lots of frustrating things for sure, but for some reason we like to waste our time with this game. [:)]

Submarines attacking destroyers is one of my favourite. My language was quite brutal last night when I saw another futile torbedo attack against destroyer. Torbedoes miss and submarine spends few weeks in shipyard repairing depth charge damage.

I had to use my "little red button" just once in the WITP forum.  Now I have had to use it in the AE forum.

styer27,

No one's insulting you based on your negative comments (or your rash decision to apparently send BB's into Bataan's minefield), we're going after you for your own admission that you STOLE THIS GAME.   Fixed minefields defending ports are much, much heavier than the one that Neptune ran into; there's a reason no one tried such a tactic during wartime, and now you too know that reason.

You stole the game, why on earth are you suprised by the reaction of people who paid money for it ! and file sharing is a reasonable excuse for theft ?

I rest my case.

Just noriced John lansfords post , i couldn't agree more.

PS if you pay for the game and get stuck, i think you'll find the community here is very mature and helpful.
sorry for the spelling . English is my main language , I just can't type . and i'm too lazy to edit :)

Agree! This game is worth every cent! Ofcourse, this is the game I've been dreaming of since "Great naval battles" series.... I understand that that's not a game for everybody, but there are few of us... [:)]

Oh if I only knew I could have stolen the game I clearly would have. I just wish I was more mature so that I could be just as dishonest and self righteous as yourself.

Maybe Matrix can backtrack his ISP and prosecute him for copyright violation?  He's already admitted his guilt.  [;)]  Such an easy case, even a FEDERAL prosecutor should be able to win it.  [:D]

Yeah, no need for the Feds to break down his parent's basement door over this one...
