v1.85 Officially Released!

Post by puresimmer »

Okay, after a beta/RC period that has seen over 30 new features and tweaks, as well as numerous other improvements and fixes I am happy to announce that PureSim Baseball v1.85 is now available as an official release. (Note: I skipped calling 1.84 to avoid any confusion).

All players are encouraged to download this massive update.

Congrats to Steve Lucey (CrashDavis), as this is the first official release that contains a significant number of tweaks and enhancements that came from him. Pretty cool, considering he just joined me on the development team two months ago! Having another developer helping has made a world of difference, and I think I can speak for him in saying we are both enjoying the collaboration immensely.

Not a big deal but, if you go to Season Browser and click on a team in the All Star and Top Salaries section you get a "Program can't display webpage" message.

A few minor nits about the "Stats & Leaders" pages in the Season Browser:

- ERA on the Leaderboard should display at two decimal places
- Team batting "runs per game" should calculate on the team's actual games played (like team pitching does)
- "Top Salaries" IMO should be the top salary players in the league listed in descending order by salary (not the player's or first alphabetical team in the league)

I love this feature by the way!

On the player cards, the Major League Debut date shows up as the current date, not the date the player debuted in the majors, for players that were in the initial league draft using real players.

I started a league in 1970. All of the initial players show up as debuting in 1975, my current current year, instead of 1970. All of the players that have come in since then show up with correct debut dates.

On the roster page, if you click the suggestion button nothing happens. I only had 50 out of 55 players on my team. I went to another team who had 58 players and clicked suggestion and still nothing.

Quick question: are OOTP format schedules (I use txt formats) no longer accepted? I completed spring training and went to add the 2010 schedule (for use as my 2020 campaign). When I tried to import schedule, the only file option is psc files.

I can't duplicate this. Any more details around the situation / league type?

Is it possible to convert what I have to a psc file? Is it something I could do? I know I am an oddity here (I do not use historical reply) but I really would prefer not to play the same sked over and over again....Thanks

I've lost the ability to "right click" on a player to make promotions, demotions, etc. No biggie, I just have to go into the player's card to make those changes. Did this function go away with 1.85?

I hadn't noticed until you posted this, but I just checked and it is gone for me also.

I noticed it was gone in 1.84 as well. I hadn't had time to play in awhile, so I thought it went away earlier or I dreamed it, so I didn't report it. Nice to know it was there before.

So does this mean that fictional associations cannot have interleague play? I can't remember if this was an option in association setup or not . . .

Although not a huge feature, it is kind of nice to be able to use the kind of schedules that are available for OOTP.

burntcore82, are you on Vista or XP? What version of IE do you have?

One thing to try would be to uninstall, reboot, and then install 1.85. Also, be sure to "run as administrator" for the install. It is a long shot but worth a try while you wait for some real help.

Hi Everyone,

First time posting - first time ever had an issue with the game!

Upgraded to 1.85 and received the following error when the game tried to compact the database after upgrading the association. I was running 1.83 previously.

"PureSim Baseball was unable to upgrade the association from version 0 to version 400 Detailed Error Desc:Object invalid or no longer set"

Joe
