Submariners, today, we are thrilled to deploy this new technical update directly to your command consoles.
Below is the complete list of fixes, features, and known issues included in today's build (0.127.3):
Fixed Issues & New Features
Training & Onboarding
Training Campaign Integration: Added the first three missions of the Training Campaign along with their direct manual links.
Overlay Documentation & Video Access: Added direct UI buttons on the TR quad edge to access official manuals and training videos.
Training Popovers: Implemented a new Popover notification system for training missions.
UI/UX, Display & Station Controls
QUADS Numerical Input: Rotating and slider QUADS nodes now accept direct number input (e.g., depth).
Countdown SFX: Added a unique audio trigger when the station countdown timer reaches zero.
UI & Menu Optimizations: Implemented general UI QoL updates across the Single Missions screen, Campaign missions screen, and Campaign ordering.
Save/Load UI: Optimized Save/Load interfaces for faster loading times.
Ship Name Shader: Fixed an issue that prevented vessel names from being rendered in final production builds.
Engine, Maneuvering & Systems Refactoring
Maneuvering Back-End Refactoring: Completed a full back-end engine refactoring for correct handling of every vessel engine.
Propeller Caching & Stability: Removed Maneuvering propeller and engine caching features to improve overall engine stability.
Surface Ship Hull Integrity: Re-adjusted integrity plate thickness parameters across all surface vessels.
Towed Array & Display Fixes: Fixed a visual glitch occurring when retracting the towed array and resolved invisible islands on the periscope and ECDIS.
Control Room Transitions: Resolved a crash that occurred when returning from external view back to the control room.
Helm Station Stability: Fixed a game loop exception that caused the Helm Station to stop updating.
Missions, Campaigns & Logic
Campaign Progress Fix: Fixed a trigger issue in "Rainbow Panda - Eternal Patrol" that prevented emergency beacon messages from activating, making the mission winnable.
VO Locale Support: Resolved Voiceover playback issues when English is not selected as the system locale.
Save/Load Python Logic: Fixed saving/loading system QoL updates regarding loaded ASM/LAM missions and Python Logic component registration.
We are actively tracking the following verified issues and are working on solutions for upcoming patches:
Thermal Fire Rendering: Fire doesn't show up correctly on thermal view from certain viewing angles.
Realistic Opfor Sensors Toggle: Disabling "realistic opfor sensors" makes all other ships, including civilian cargo ships, appear many times louder on ownship sonar (narrowband and broadband).
Active Intercept Logging: Active Intercept may register the same contact multiple times if the lifetime of the incoming contact exceeds the maximum cache time.
Upscaler UI Artifacts: Setting upscalers (DLSS) to Performance or Ultra Performance modes can cause station UI text to become blurry.
Damage FX Stuttering: Temporary stuttering may occur when looking at ownship damage effects.
Moving Forward
Our commitment to expanding and perfecting Modern Naval Warfare remains our top priority. We are continuously monitoring your feedback as we polish core features and move forward towards future updates.
Good hunting, Captains.
