Just ordered my copy of Starships Unlimited DG

Post by StarWraith »

Should arrive in a day or so assuming the Aussie distributor actually has some copies.

Going out on a bit of a limb really, I had a quick look at the Stun demo, browsed this forum and read a couple of reviews.
Thought to myself will I or wont I?
Suddenly got all nostalgic remembering when I bought MOO when it was first released and at the time was a relatively unknown title.
Ah what the hell I thought, clicking on the submit button (gotta love online ordering, you can be so impulsive).

Bear in mind I also bought Frontier2, Xcom 2 and Battlecruiser 3000 so I've had my fair share of failures over the years.

Anyways I'll let you all know when it arrives and no doubt will have a multitude of newb questions to ask, particulary when some silicon based, blue skinned, noxious smelling, alien species is kicking my tail across the galaxy with incredible ease.

The path to galactic domination is never smooth <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

Well I hope you enjoy the game.

I do have a quick question for you, which version of Battlecruiser did you try?

The version of BC3000, good question, not sure it was the original boxed version sold down here by Take2 Interactive I believe. I patched it a few times but ended up giving up on the game as an unplayable bug fest.

With regards to STUN DG apparently my copy is in the mail so I am guessing it will arrive tomorrow.
Any tactical suggestions/pointers for my first game?

Expand very quickly... When you declare war, don't go for the homeworld at first. Take out as many freighter routes.
