Difference between Matrix and Steam Versions

Strategic War in Europe is a grand strategy game where you command one or more of the 25 countries in the game. War, diplomacy, technological progress, recruitment, conquest – this is all in your hands. There are no restrictions to the actions you can perform during your turn: unit movement, purchase, attack, technology investment, reinforcement, all of those can be done at any moment during the turn.

Difference between Matrix and Steam Versions

Post by Dgold »

Both Matrix and Steam are currently selling this game.

If you look at the respective screenshots, they differ.

Which version of the game is more up-to-date (better to purchase)?

Thanks

I just bought this and noticed this difference also and ended up buying it on Steam because it was way cheap, and the differences between the screen shots is just the options used... you can get the Steam version to look the same as the Matrix version.

BUT.... the Steam version came with no manual and the tutorial refers to the manual. So, maybe it I had bought the Matrix version I would have gotten the manual (anybody??).

I have a post on Steam to get the manual but may not get it.
