Video Tutorial - EF Bootcamp 1 - In-Action Report

Post by Jason Petho »

TUTORIAL ON YOUTUBE

This is the second video tutorial where I have played the first bootcamp scenario in an effort to teach some of the basics.

Unfortunately, since I played the entire scenario, start to finish with a lot of babbling before hand, the file is nearly 85MB and about 22 minutes in length.

Obviously it doesn't cover everything, but provides somewhere to start.

Take care and good luck

Jason,

Thought I'd check out your tutorial video (even though I've played for a while). Nice job!

It should give new players an easy quick intro to the basics!

Thanks, Rick. Tis appreciated. Certainly nothing fancy, but it does provide an introduction to the Campaign Series.

Wonderful job on the Video Tutorial Jason! East Front II was the first computer wargame that i ever purchased. Interestingly, with all the WWII computer games that have been released since, I still prefer the Campaign Series (EFII, WF, and RS) over all.

Anyway, I am about to order the new Campaign Series so I can use it on my XP computer. Do all the newly placed orders include the most current version, or will I have to download the patches?

Thanks,

David

Excellent stuff Jason. Even though I've owned these games for years, your tutorial marks the first time I've ever watched someone else playing them, and a nicely accomplished small-unit action it was too. It may also inspire me to use the assault function more, as I do tend to be overly cautious at times.

As Rick says, this is a good introduction to new players, and in fact a useful 'demo' of what prospective JTCS owners can expect if they decide to buy it. I've been banging on about how good these games are for a long time, so I'll link this thread at the other forums I go to, where I'm sure it will generate a lot of interest.

Looking forward to future productions!

Regards
Paul

Thanks Jason for this video ! Would be fine to have some more videos about some of the smaller scenarios (especially the Bootcamp ones). I think I have learnt a lot from those basic tutorial.
