Rather Noob-ish modding query

This revised and updated turn-based grand strategy game from the team at AGEOD brings players back to World War I, including both the Eastern and Western fronts and over 4 campaigns and 10 scenarios. As either a member of the Central Powers, the Entente or a neutral nation, players will confront the epic gauntlet of military and political challenges that faced the likes of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha.

Rather Noob-ish modding query

Post by Rev »

Hi,

Just a quick query on changing stuff in the 'modding documents'. And it is a bit of a silly question I grant you but I'm a bit of an enthusiastic novice at this sort of stuff!

Basically, I would be able to change stuff with ease, except that all the files are "Read Only" and refuse to become editable when I try to change them. This being the case none of the changes I try to make are saved and as such make no difference. Does anyone know how I should make the files moddable? In case it's in any way relevant to the answer I use Windows XP, and bought the game in digital form only, and have since patched it up to the 1.06A version. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide on this, as I say I'm not too knowlegable on this sort of thing, I've done little bits and pieces to other games I own, including World at War: A World Divided, but I don't think I've ever encountered a game that won't let me unset the "Read Only" option and alter the files.

Thanks,

Rev

I'm able to edit the files just fine using XP. Maybe you have a setting in XP "locked" in some way that is preventing you from changing from the Read-Only attribute.
You've GOT to hold them back!
