US setup is pretty straight forward. One carrier, battlewagons and escorts on the east coast. Based in Norfolk.

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

I've never seen the Russian TRS placed in the Caspian Sea before. That's an interesting idea.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Not knowing the CW movement intentions for the first couple of impulses, this isn't any form of criticism but I am curious at the deployment of the 3 TRANS at Southampton (and weren't they a good draw). I would have put 2 for the 2 corps units and one of the fast CA's to move the Inf Div. The third TRANS could then be stacked with another unit, ready to go.
Is Wavell under the CP's at Alex. What has the CW got at Malta and Gibraltar? I tend to find I need the Eng at one of these locations but with unlimited breakdown, CW might have an Inf Div in each. Looks like the Italians have set up on the Tunisian border.
I usually lend-lease the F2A to CW as although not great, its range makes it useful for naval patrol but I can see it would be just as useful in the Pacific.
The Chinese map looks different without the additional cities. I'll be interested to see how this plays out as I've always played with them included.

Thanks for the input. I havent setup the CW in years. Yes the CW HQ is in Alexandra. And there is currently one corp in Gibraltar.

Nothing in Malta?
This could be an interesting first couple of impulses for CW. It's fixable with one of those 4-4 TRANS carrying either a Corps or the Inf Div but leaves it exposed in the West Med 0-box for the rest of the turn. Also forces a combined move if the TRANS is to be unloaded that impulse, which may slow other planned movements.
The INF Div could be loaded on a fast CA into the North Sea, ready to move down in the second Allied impulse (and also ready to land in Europe if Germany tries a Fall Gelb but leaves somewhere like Rotterdam open). By that time Italy could have DoW'd and taken the island. That depends on what Italy has earmarked for their Inf Div. It may be required for surprise invasions in North Africa, which the Italians don't want to change or Italy may not want an early entry into the war and risk 1939 chits into the US Entry pool.
Perhaps CW is content to let Italy have Malta and then seek to keep it isolated by sinking the supply CP's and anything sent to escort them. Seeking to attrition the Italian navy is a good strategy for CW to pursue and this would serve as a good way to bring them to battle. Even better if the French navy can be involved to start with.
Great work guys, already much to speculate about and look forward to seeing it unfold.

Berlin. 2300h 31/8/39
There is a reported incident at the radio mast at Gleiwitz, Upper Silesia. Shots have been heard. Details remain unclear. This serves to underline ongoing concerns at banditry and security on the eastern frontiers of the Reich.
The Romanian ambassador has been received at the Foreign Ministry. Bucharest has expressed concern at exercises reportedly underway by significant Red Army forces close to the Romanian border.
The Ministry for Propaganda and Popular Enlightenment has dismissed reports of labour unrest in Persia as "nothing more than a mendacious fabrication of the state-controlled Soviet press."
