44-6-111:
How much is an allied division worth in VP. 3squads=1vp? vehicles 1each vp?

I just lost the entire 36th indian div and the allied AR BDE of shermans at Sabang.
300 points for the inf div.
100 points for the AR BDE.

Hmmm.....bad.

i lost those big fleet refuelers (5/4speed) last turn so I could not advance my CVs into the marshals.

I feel the momentum shift my way but what a f_____ grinder.

The Sumatran Operation has, so far, paid off pretty well.

Two Surrenders:
6-10 Armored Uni 85 Squads, 5 Guns, and 146 Vehices
6-11 An entire Indian ID: 9047 Cas (1106 Squads), 343 Guns, and 184 Vehicles

This deserves a plaintive BANZAI!

Car Nicobar

Right now any pair of turns that does not show a horrific disaster for Japan in a victory. Here, a STF made a high speed run from Sabang to Car Nicobar. The TF comprised 1 CA, 3 CL, and 7 DD. They fought past a TF of 5 DDs sinking DD Quilliam then ran into this TF. When the smoke cleared, 3 LST, 11 LCM, a PC, ML, and 7 xAPc are sunk. Pretty solid work and the TF gets away to tell the tale.

Decent work...

44-6-12: John pounds my barges at Car nicobar.
Car Nicobar Battle replay here:https://youtu.be/SapuSCKmHLU
10 min video clip. replay was 2 hours so did not make a video.

This is an interesting turn because I have 3 major battles upcoming next turn. Divisions have arrived at the designated hexes this turn.
Tavoy: unprepped Indian div with 3 AR regiments.
Shikuko-Sakhalin island with 2div 100prep.
Para Island Kuriles, 2divisions, 2 AR, 100prep, Corp 100prep adjacent hex and Theatre command 100 prep(NOPAC).
I will be closely watching all attacks. I expect Para to go down very quick because of Army Prep 100%.

44-6-12/13: First Day Para and Shikoku both fall. The entire US 1st corp, veterans of NE AUS and Noumea campaigns, have been redeployed to NE Asia, 100 prep and stroll into Para.
Allied assault odds: 354 to 1 (fort level 2)

Allied forces CAPTURE Paramushiro-jima !!!

Same at Shikuka:
Allied assault odds: 34 to 1 (fort level 4)

Allied forces CAPTURE Shikuka !!!

Second day of turn John runs/sneaks into Ketoi-jima. He knew i was busy in other places.

John and I usually have a game chat maybe once a week. We talk about how the game engine works or my bad beatdown or his bad beatdown. We also trade false intel or true intel. You never can tell. what the truth is. So today I called john because I had a 50% disablement with 2 divs on an uncontested hex amphib. When john does not answer and then does not call me back I usually get suspicious. He always has something going on to screw me up.

Sabang looks lie a nice target but the Japanese can reinforce it too easily and make Allied support difficult there. Canoerebel tried it in one game and got kicked out, having the US Navy's 1st Marine Division destroyed among other units.

Maybe John has seen it all. It seems John has his contingencies for each special allied operation. The Situation in Thailand appears to be a sacrifice for time. He could have salvaged some of those units in the Rahing triangle but did not. So I stick to the slow grind.
