44-1-6: KB moves deep into SoPac to distract the Line Island ops. What I consider to be a strong allied land based Nav air attack is destroyed by a 170 plane CAP near suva. TBs broke thru but could not score any hits.

Though I find it strange as to why John hasn't posted any operations reports recently. It's kinda strange, since his last one was for Dec. 13th and 14th.

most of the action will shift north to Seward. Alot of shipping and air power is located around Seward. Xmas falls with alot of casualties around Rangoon. A single IJN SCTF tries to get past PT pickets before the sun comes up. John email claims he has air cover in place. Note a CVTF around Chertoff island.

As the IJN SCTF gets closer to Seward it runs into more resistance. It gets past the PT pickets and runs in Ching Willis w 3CA and 4DD. After getting past Ching the IJN runs into 2 USN BBs for a real gunfight. Seems while the BBs fought it out Ching reloaded and came back later for some more w one CA and 4DD.

It SUCKED! Couldn't believe it. Those boys were super tough and really, really scored with their Torps.
