How to do a path with a troop transport?

hey guys, does anyone know how to do a path with a troop transport?
I am the axis in a game rn, and i need to bring a unit from italy to libia, but the only path the game lets me (I need to do force march to reach the port in one turn) its blocked by a uk sub,
so, does anyone know what keys i have to push to be able to do a path so i can avoid the sub?
the manual says i need to push ctrl, but that doesnt seem to work, or maybe its just me that i am doing it wrong haha
