Limits on Transports

Post by Chuske »

What is the starting limit on number of active naval transport and amphibious transports for each major, assuming no tech has been researched? Is this limit displayed anywhere in game?

What about minor powers?

The manual didn't seem to cover these other than saying there is a limit?

Do supply levels of transported units drop at all? Or is that only true for amphib transports?

The easiest way to see this data will be to open up the campaign in the Editor and navigate to:

Campaign -> Edit Country Data -> Edit Build Limit

There you can see the limits for all unit types for all countries.

Regular Amphibious Transports do lose supply per turn, while other types just lose it if they use Naval Cruise.

Thanks Bill!

I've just realised something, that the right-click menu has the transport limits on it but only when the option isn't grayed out. I had been previously using the toolbar buttons so hadn't noticed this feature.

Probably my biggest difficulties with the game is the UI not always being obvious or like this example having two methods to carry out orders but only one has the build limits on it.

I case any other newbs see this thread:-

All countries in Call to Arms have 1 amphib and 1 transport limit except the UK which gets 2 transports. Then each level of logistics research adds 1 extra transport, and amphibious warfare research adds 1 extra amphib capacity.
