Option for Axis player to decline "sudden death"

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Option for Axis player to decline "sudden death"

Post by simovitch »

I added this feature to the next patch. Too many Axis players have had to end the game in mid 1944 because they wupped *ss on the Allies but never got a chance to bury them with late-game jet production. The option dialog will only appear on the 30-day check cycle and only if sudden death is achieved, otherwise the game proceeds as normal. As a balance I am reducing the minimum AS from 3 to 2 for an Allied victory condition in the endgame.

I also fixed a minor bug that was impacting new pilot allocation to groups with a severe casualty history/honour roll. The players will also be able to view the current pilot pool during the planning phase for the nationality of whatever group pilots they are looking at in the group display.

Also, US bombers that are fitted with H2S navigation device lose their lower ball turret 'cause that's where the H2S were fitted. Replacements do not begin with H2S anymore, they get auto-upgraded gradually each day after the device becomes available.

Lastly, I moved the selection tabs for low/high bomber escorts down to the lower screen for easy access.

Expect this patch in the coming weeks.

Thanks guys. I also just added the ability for the Axis player to see the research breakthrough % progress on future aircraft in the weapons database. Each breakthrough brings the availability 1 month closer.

I think that's the last feature though. Time to wrap it up.
