RE: Game won't start

Mktours, you may be on to something.
My games worked fine in the past as well, so maybe a W10 change is the cause.
Problem is, if it impacted everyone, we would be seeing more than a few complaints.

RE: Would the US have declared war on Germany?

<t> There are two possible reactions to more Reuben James attacks.<br/> One is a declaration of war - maybe.<br/> The other is Roosevelt put his chin out there, which he assuredly did, and what did everyone expect?<br/> Given the state of public opinion, either is possible. RE: Would the US have declared war on Germany?

<t> There was little interest in the European War either before or after PH. Supply convoys and their escorts fall far short of the efforts employed after Germany declared war. The Germany first strategy was agreed upon in joint UK US discussions shortly after PH, but in a matter of months was adjus...

RE: Would the US have declared war on Germany?

<t> Roosevelt's December 8 address to Congress after PH did not mention a word about Germany.<br/> That was intentional. RE: Finished Pacific Crucible book

+1 for Toll

In Pacific Crucible he goes very deeply into the personalities, details are fascinating. Yamamoto, Nimitz, Hirohito etc.
Sets the table really well.

RE: OT: Good book recommendations for newcomers

For the Burma campaign, Defeat into Victory, by William Slim who commanded the British 14th Army.
On many senior officer reading lists, including General Mattis.
An admirable style of leadership as well as description of the campaign.

RE: Crash

I did not bother to update this time around because I had tried that weeks ago, but I have now and still crashes.
I would be delighted to provide a new Dxdiag complete, but see no attach function.
The site says you can do it, but now how.
