RE: Convoys & the auto move mode

Thanks! Your additions are great ideas. I think I would wind up moving the TF to a spot 6-10 hexes off the coast of the target area so I could guide final approach manually.

RE: Transport aircraft

Use the "Operate" right click option with the unit selected.. A bit overgenerous since you can basically " beam" them to another continent in 20 days.

Narvik?

Is there any way to get enough additional forces to Narvik to capture it using the two special forces units that come from the event firing?

China strategy v. AI

1) what are most important hexes to fortify?
2) how to respond when Japanese AI starts focusing on units and killing them one a time?
3) production ?
4) diplomacy?

Was the US not able to pass ships through the Panama Canal during peacetime?

RE: Getting troops/ships from GB/US/Canada => Egypt

There are two features that would be incredibly useful in the naval game:

1) group units as fleet that moves together and maintains relative position
2) designate destination and automove to it.

running in VM -- turn off sound?

Hi,

I am running in a Windows 8 guest VM and launch keeps failing because no sound -- "SDL" error.

I don't want sound anyway, can I fix this by turning off sound in a config file? Where is it located?

All these decisions about the AI have been made ages ago, so don't get too excited about it.

Radagy draw in Leningrad

I just fought Radagy to a draw in Road to Leningrad which struck me as a bizarre result since I absolutely had my ass handed to me (as a new player). I wonder if he can explain!

<t> As a publisher, let me observe that accepting prepayment creates an obligation. If for any reason (hurricane, technical snafu ...) the date slips past November 7, you will have a lot of very unhappy customers. It's not like you can really go ahead and spend the money on current obligations. Also...

RE: Proper Place?

I founs the recent volley of personal insults quite offputting. I don't want to come to a Matrix Games forum and come across that stuff. I have managed many forums and mailing lists over the years and I would have no hesitation in banning the individual(s) responsible for the recent thread.

RE: trying to get WITP going on VirtualBox

How do I set the resolution to higher than 1024 x 768? I have a 1920 x 1280 monitor but by default the screen only fills 1024 x 768.
