What is this transfer box of which you speak? (WitE1 perhaps?)

I believe you could either turn off move animations, or reduce the speed of the animation. Look under preferences for these options.

Finally some encirclements. Unfortunately, even though there is mud coming up, he will get a clear turn before you do meaning he may be able to launch a relief attack. Unless, of course, you can take them out during the mud, though that could prove difficult.
