There is no evidence leading towards Axis allies Units taking exponentially more losses by A2G attacks from what I have seen. EDIT: lower MOR/EXP it may be On the other hand, they have AA built into their TOE, whereas the German infantry doesn't have any. I'm not sure if this was an oversight or no...

We'll look at dead Soviet leaders. A couple infantry 6 leaders KIA in Govorov and Zhadov, but that's the worst of it.
Only one KIA, but it's an important one. Model only lasted one turn on the map.

Re: [BETA V1.03.03] Air to Ground attacks versus AFVs - observations & balancing

Nice work looking into the combat details behind the scenes. I wonder if another large issue besides penetration is the amount of shots fired by the support aircraft. It's likely that every plane in the sortie is getting a shot at an AFV, but is that realistic? It seems more likely that only a fract...

Re: Where the Iron Crosses Grow: K62 (Axis) vs Veterin (Soviet) GC41

But those aircraft losses are too high, are they not? With open TB's it really does not matter at all how many either side will lose. At least in my opinion. Can easily replace from other theaters to fill in any gap. Wresting the Air from the Germans with Open TB is extremely difficult. It can be d...

'41 GC (mod)

Looking for a Soviet opponent to playtest a balance mod I'm working on. Any level experience is fine. The mod has a variety of changes, but should benefit the Soviet player overall and make the game a bit more realistic. Chill game, should be fun to mix it up with these changes. No motorization No p...

Re: WW1 Style Grinding

This save looks good to me, if HLYA is still up for it. Thanks! Very exciting! Can you guys do an AAR on this, either here or on a discord? I would love to see the Soviet mindset and approach to tackling this strategy. I will do one from the German side, but you are really looking for the Strat fro...

Re: Let's Take a Look at Urban Combat Again

A big issue is that support units take almost no casualties during urban combat. This reduces the losses to both sides, and causes 40-60% of the manpower on both sides to not directly participate in the battle. For example, if the germans have 60k men in a fort, the attacker really only needs to dis...

Re: Let's Take a Look at Urban Combat Again

The simplest solution - lower/remove the unisolated 4x urban CV buff for the defender so that cities actually can be taken by attackers without having to always isolate the city first. If this is done then the isolated CV penalty for defenders should also be lowered/removed as well. As even cities ...

Re: Pilots getting deleted

So that's the technical reason why I think it's not WAD. From a game design, I think it would be so much better if pilots were kept with their air groups in the reserve and trained individually, instead of as a group. If I send 20 pilots with experience ranging from 30-70 to train for 6 months, what...

Re: Pilots getting deleted

When the pilots enter the reserves, they no longer carry any association with their previous unit. They are now part of the universal reserve pool. The pilot names are removed from the data but the AI still retains all related data associated with their individual experience and kill numbers. If 40...

Pilots getting deleted

It appears that pilots are being removed from the game when air groups are transferred from the map to the reserve. These pilots neither go to the pilot pool, nor return with their air groups. This doesn't seem to be WAD, and it seems like they should either stick with their air groups or the pilots...

Re: 76.2mm field guns stuck in transit pools?

Looks to me like ground elements that have been replaced are placed in the transit pool instead of the active pool. Since the USV is in less demand in '42, it looks like they are replacing ZIS-3 guns frequently, causing those zis-3 guns to go back into the transit pool. The issue should sort itself ...

Re: Soviet AT not being built

Not sure how you determined that they are converted from zis-3 artillery. Seems like they are separate production lines.

Also, there should’ve been like 2000 f-22 guns produced before it stopped production.
