I see news that Makarov or Essen shout downed Bayraktar using outboard targeting from radars located in Crimea.

Re: Fair statement? Russia's database needs a complete update

Try finding concrete details like MiG-23BN, in database it has chaff/flare dispenser and could carry maximum of 3 metric tons of ordnance. See, here you have overrated soviet equipment in database. Was this concrete example of soviet overrated weapon in your mind? What a problem with characteristic...

Re: Why no more Afghanistan?

Fellows, thank you for your participation. You are right, I will make a new request and send it. I will not promise that I will be able to quickly return to work on scenarios and give a result - I'm having a pretty busy period right now, including professionally. But judging by the interest of the ...

Re: Why no more Afghanistan?

Engine of CMO is not enough good for modeling tactical ground fights. So scenario designer should work hard to create really great thrills. Helicopter landing operations in Panjsher Gorge, air battles against Pakistan.

Re: Why no more Afghanistan?

I tried a few years ago to do several scenarios or even a campaign on the 1979-1989 Afghan War. But I encountered several difficulties. 1. Database. There are no real loadouts for the Soviet aircrafts and helicopters used in Afghanistan. There are no bomb loadouts, gun pods for helicopters, unguided...

But what damage may cause this ammunition if you are deep underground? Well, I hope they are.

Fascinating. I'm curious - do you believe in Putin's justification for invading Ukraine? I'm completely agree above commentators. My opinion about justification of this war is not point of discussion. Same as yours, or anybody else. We should discuss subject, not opinions. If you really interested ...

EDIT: BTW, I'm not saying the Admiral Makarov was sunk, but I do believe she was hit. I have seen some reports that the vessel made it to Sevastopol and about 30 ambulances met it. So who knows? The truth is the first victim of war. Saw nothing about Admiral Makarov in Sevastopol and ambulances in ...

Re: Breaking ...

At this point, you have to wonder whether the Russians can successfully force the Dardanelles and Bosporus to reinforce the remains of the Black Sea Fleet. Turkey closed them to the non-Black Sea Fleet portion of the Russian Navy. Straits were closed according Montreaux convention for any fleet. Th...

A certain white spot can be seen on the luff of the ship. Probably a number. Whereas Russian ships since the beginning of the war have been running with painted numbers.
Summary. The ship is most likely damaged. The video is a fake.

Weird video. The silhouette as a whole looks like 11356. But note the observation radar antenna on the foremast. One curtain, strongly elongated horizontally. Whereas Makarov's antenna is square and shifted clockwise in the vertical plane. No horizontal "rails" on the mast can be seen. But...

No hope, but I will try. You will find "nazis" pictures in many countries, including yours. Will you invade them all? Start with Russia. Ok. Can I see US National guard zigging with swastika at background? And are western journalist wrong? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/02/ukr...
