no navy

No naval units in a game with oceans? This so far looks like an extremely ambitious alpha release with no funding behind it.
Is there going to be more to the game when the Steam release comes?

RE: still playing... and loving it!

<t> Jim, did you copy the serial number from Matrix's 'Jimkehn's games'? If you did it is easy to grab an extra empty character at the end. <br/> Go into the setup/serial number entry and backspace the serial number till it is against the right end of an actual digit. <br/> <br/> If you already did ...

<t> And again we are seeing German AFV strength in Russia of 8,000-12,000 in AARs in '43. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! <br/> <br/> Sorry, I am fine now. RE: German losses?

<t> The Germans also start with 200,000 free replacements that they did not have. IRL the Germans lost 1.1mil by Feb 28th '42. That lowered them from 3.3mil to 2.2mil. They gained in that time period, including wounded men coming back to the colors, 550,000 men. 2.75mil in time for the spring mud. <...

RE: Difference between the BF109 G-6 and Bf109 G-6 1944

If I remember correctly it was a way to have more G-6 factories that did not start repairing on turn 1 in '43. They were a 'different' plane that would not start repairing/producing until '44.

IFRC that was what Dennis told us when we Betaed.

<t> Alfred, I did not work on AE, I thought I made that quite clear, I am sorry it was not clear enough. I left before it started as a firm project. I was co-founder of CHS with Don. I am sorry it upsets you that I know Don & Joe, but I know Joe less well. Don and I talked about what we would do...

RE: possible bug/error

Yeah, Japan was in the same situation as Italy/Libya... the big oil fields found in Manchuria were found in the 50's.

RE: possible bug/error

<t> The thing I wanted but Joe didn't was correct refineries, I wanted Balik Papan to be like 40% of the Dutch capacity not spread fairly evenly as it is in game. But Joe felt (as I understood him) that Balik Papan is too vulnerable to allied bombers in New Guinea so for game purposes the refineries...

RE: possible bug/error

<t> One of my chief beefs with the game as it stands is there is rarely any serious destruction of the Indonesian oil production or refineries. We all know this actually happened, and the Japanese only reached about 35-40% of pre war production in '43. <br/> The code for this is beyond a modder thou...

<t> That is exactly why I left this community Hans. Don and I did the best we could to make an historical game. RE: possible bug/error

<t> Sorry Pax, I built this air database. The Bihoro and Genzan units are the two that start split; 27 & 9 for each unit. This is also incorrect, they each had 48 G3Ms on roster. Most of the navy groups flew 4x12 aircraft chutai. <br/> And Tainan has 27+9+9 A6Ms, 45 total not 54. 6x9 aircraft ch...

RE: possible bug/error

<t> As an example, the Kanoya air group on Dec 8th (Tokyo time) had 36 bombers at Taichu and 36 at Saigon. Every source I have and Niehorster agree with this. For the Allied aircraft the numbers are easy to come by, but for Japanese aircraft often impossible.
