RE: Ageod forums

Sorry you have login issues. I think spam and such requires at least three attempts and then you are in. Keep trying. Ageod games are really special, but I do think three attempts same email is the trick, but I do not remember.

RE: Strategy?

<t> I think as the Royals playing versus AI you have a really tough go. Oxford is the resource center you must hold. So you have to find a means to get AI to focus on another region. I would select a region adjacent to London which you can reach by the end of turn two with any force, even a small ca...

RE: Strategy?

<t> I suspect you are talking about play against AI while I am explaining play in a pbem game. Remember you must retake Oxford if you cannot initially hold it. Find an alternative resource and fort rich area in which to build. Maneuver to build objective regions. When strong enough, retake Oxford or...

This is an essential concern. I gather in Oxford with force marching. Only way I can make the Royals work. And you have to be lucky.

RE: Strategy?

<t> Not a strategy guide but a few ideas.<br/> Oxford is essential to the king as London is to parliament. While London has a decent garrison, Oxford does not. The king needs to keep a strong army to defend Oxford.<br/> This is a game of small seiges, not major battles, but your armies must be organ...

RE: Austrian Army Reform Event

<t> What this event does, and it is very similar with Prussia and Russia, you expand the number of divisions you can create. Your ability to create corps and additional armies expands which means March to the Sound of Guns really improves. In addition, you gain qualities for your armies which varies...

RE: Win 10 Stable?

<t> It is Windows 10 stable. The only thing you must do is run it as an administrator. This is true of many games which access files outside the game. Unlike WITP:AE which does require some modifications, English Civil War just necessitates an admin start, which I do on a right click to access the m...

RE: Turn 102 and crashes everytime yikes!

With several of the newer AGEOD games there is a memory cache issue. Just exit the game every two or three turns, then return and you should be good for a few more turns.

RE: On the fence

<t> If you like Civil War II as I do (it is my very favorite game for dozens of reasons) much of WON will be familiar. Nations gradually gain organizational ability. In WON the difference is that France is really great at forming Armies and Corps, while other nations are more limited until they achi...

RE: Steam or local PC work better?

<t> I often play games while not online. For me, this is a key reason to not use Steam as in my last experience with Steam I had to be logged in or I could not play. So when I traveled, I could not play my Steam games until I landed and got logged in. (Some players tell me this is no longer an issue...

RE: Best original AJE scenario for head to head PBEM play?

Oh, one caveat, Birth of Rome does not have the siege train option of later scenarios. So your understanding must be, this is an introduction as to how to play, but as the years advance things change.
