RE: WWII Weekend coming up

Don't forget Virginville [:'(] where the airport is located isn't really that bad if your a little shy of Reading. I will be checking the weather, gets a little hot on the tarmac. Hoping for a somewhat cloudy but nice day. I will post some pics.

RE: OT Need help

Thanks for your response......I have not. I must admit I am not a computer whiz and I am finding using Windows 8 to be like using a computer for the first time ( was an XP user ). I will search for how to use it though. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

RE: A little OT

<t> My pleasure. Was sent to me by a old high school friend. I would not have wanted to be the tail gunner, or any of them for that matter. To put yourself mission after mission in a position to be your last. All service men and women are brave but I consider bomber crews to be among the bravest. [&...

RE: B-17 supremacy

<t> could be they all attack as 1 but the report breaks them down as attacking in small waves....I don't know myself. Someone with the inner workings knowledge can answer that....but I would have to agree you don't park your CV's in range of any enemy bombers. I am amazed at the people on this forum...

RE: B-17 supremacy

<t> if I may add my $.02.....I think what the OP is saying is that there was 11 separate attacks with 1-6 planes in each attack. I believe he thinks it should be like in Europe 1 attack with all planes in the attack....in effect carpet bombing not wave after wave of small groups. Now I am no expert ...
