RE: Think China's Navy Is A Serious Threat?"

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ORIGINAL: U235<br/> <br/> The Chinese do not have the modern maritime experience of the US. It took a lot of trial and error on our part to get carrier operations right. It's a false dilemma to say the US had to either invade Japan or nuke Japan. Japan would have surrendered if offered even semi-reasonable terms.

The claudes won't resize because groups won't resize on the turn they transfer on to a ship. You will be able to resize them tomorrow.

RE: Setting air search arcs vs not setting them

I like to set them, because it lets me visually inspect the map for gaps in my search coverage. Random arcs don't show at all.

I don't like to post my anecdotes, because I think confirmation bias fucks with our memories.

RE: USS. Harry S. Truman Fired On?

The US sails a carrier through the straits, and then calls Iran provocative when they conduct a test in their own territorial waters. That's pretty ballsy.

RE: Radar warning for incoming raid, but no radar present or near?

Japanese AA regiments have "visual search" and "sound observer" devices, which are both treated as radar with really bad stats. Later in the war they get upgraded to actual radar sets with better detection range.
