I need an indicator of 'range' for colonies. In DW1 it used to be by sectors but that is no longer in DW2. However, in starting/setting up a new game there is an option to limit the colonization range, which is fine...except I have no reference or help to determine what those ranges actually mean o...

Might have just been a game bug but I also saw fleets not willing to fly closer to their attack target which was in near the sun but I could manually move them closer and trigger the combat. Maybe set a minimum distance the gravilex will be to the stars?

You'll have to turn off automated refits.

That way you can make sure you build all the different active designs you want and keep them that way.

Ever since I saw "auto-spy" on the explorer automation option I am instantly thinking about stealth-spy ships that go into enemy territory for recon missions.

Cool patch. Still some issue of when technology gets discovered in an event that happened to be what you were researching and had "crashed" it; It will get stuck and take up a research spot. The screen says "completed" but it will still tick slowly to 100% as if you hadn't resear...

I don't mind it. Only thing I've noticed is the visualisation slots don't care what component you put in there, it's the same visual item. In ship designer, I need component info text readily available again. In DWU I could right-click the component and open up the galactopedia to that component page and learn if I only needed one of something. Even on aggressive stance what is the point of that meaning point blank range? Shouldn't it mean be aggressive but also still move around and cycle your firing arcs and focus on firing all your weapons?

I really liked at the start how the game zooms in at the start. Be cool if the zooming was a little slower and there was cool music to go with it.
