Uninstalled everything and checked regedit to clean up whatever was left behind (didn't see anything though). Installed vanilla Distant Worlds (the newest version), installed ROTS and beta patch... ...crash :<

I'd prefer only seeing your selected ships with destination vector, and approaching enemy vessels (who's destination is detected and known and approaching your colony), else it'll easily become cluttered :)

If possible though, and if you can get from somewhere, I'd put 3,5k x 3,5k size backdrops. The original size of 2k is a bit too blurry in my opinion :)

I myself like the 'super powered' starbases in DW. Considering the price and how many you can have on one planet I prefer them to be really good. Looking at Master of Orion 2, they were 'expensive' but utterly worthless in combat... :D
