Re: On mac with wine or parallels

So, I took a risk and bought the game with my anniversary coupon and can now confirm it doesn't work on a Mac M2 with parallels. I get some brief error message about max number of shaders exceeded. Which is a shame, as I was particularly looking forward to playing ABII. Most of my Matrix games work ...

Re: Work on mac with parallels?

Hi there.. has the Mac silicon workaround been published yet? I have the same issue, can't get Southern Storm to work on a new Mac Studio M2. Was using bootcamp on my old MacBook but now having to use Parallels. This is the only war game I have that doesn't work on the new machine. Thanks..

I did and am fascinated by the game concept. Videos are a great help and interesting in their own right... Pleased with the purchase despite the cost..

RE: Thinking of buying ... but need a push over the edge...

<t> Hi All - very many thanks for your kind, generous and encouraging responses. This is a special forum.<br/> <br/> After all the fond praise for this game I jumped and am now at the foot hills of Everest. (Looks cool - if rather intimidating - on a wide screen with the alt font!) Even if it doesn'...

RE: Thinking of buying ... but need a push over the edge...

<t> Thanks everyone for the help... pushing me towards buying. Question though about screen resolution - my monitor is 1920 x 1200 - does WITPAE open at that native resolution or just 1024 x 768? I fired up UV again and it looks very 'blocky' at 1024 x 768 on my monitor. Wouldn't want to get WITPAE ...

Thinking of buying ... but need a push over the edge...

<t> Been lurking for ages & very seriously interested in buying.... but it's a huge amount for a 'game' and need some persuading.<br/> <br/> My big worry is that you can't enjoy this game without giving up half (or more) of your life to it, which I can't afford.<br/> <br/> So a question - can yo...

RE: Rule in absence doesn't rule in absence??

Why? Don't have huge amounts of time to play this. I love the Alt Tab capability to pop in and out while doing other things and would like to be able to leave the game 'fully automated' while doing some of the 'other things' so it can develop a bit on it's own while I'm away.

... buy.

Amazing game totally different from anything else I've played. Has flaws of course but it looks like the rough edges are being smoothed off.

Rule in absence doesn't rule in absence??

<t> Anyone know whether the 'rule in absence' automation setting (ie all fully automated) is supposed to allow the game to run fully unattended?<br/> <br/> I would like to do that - let it run in the background and then dip in and out as the empire grows - but even with all pop ups deselected I stil...

Left click works fine for me... just an unusual convention - more used to Esc or Return.

Any way of skipping the intro videos on start?

... the normal press escape doesn't seem to do anything. I've been trying to diagnose a few issues with 1.0.3 and it's a pain having to watch the full intro every time...

Thanks [:)]

1.0.3 Public Beta Issues

<t> Hi<br/> <br/> Never had any issues with 1.0.2 but noticed the following with the beta:<br/> <br/> 1. I originally moved my old save games from the 1.0.2 folder to the 1.0.3 but this caused CTDs. So opened games from 1.0.2 folder instead. This worked. You may need some 'instructions' on how to ha...

RE: CPU at 100%?

<t> Hi all - good idea to order the&nbsp;task manager by CPU - didn't know you could do that.&nbsp; Answer is that at least 92% of the CPU is down to CC... and I suspect the missing 8% is what's lost in the time it takes to Alt Tab.&nbsp; The mystery deepens??<br/> &nbsp;<br/> Great ...

<t> Hi - thanks for the help. I've just updated the BIOS and drivers to no avail.<br/> <br/> The only possible issue with the laptop is an error message on start of the laptop (not the game) to the effect that, "could not load C:\Windows\System32\erhrvpqz\csrss.exe specified in the registry".
