This is really outstanding work. Actually prompted me to pull the trigger on buying the game.

<r> TS is a great game. I like it because winning is a challenge.<br/> <br/> I think the general consensus is that the game is slanted toward the Soviet side. i usually play with a +1 influence advantage to the US side (which gives the US one additional influence point in the first round).<br/> <br/...

<t> I don't think anyone is saying the game has to offer one thing or another, just that the people selling it should say clearly what it does offer. <br/> <br/> Having read through the product description, the FAQs, the developer's forum posts and maybe 30 user posts here on the subject, the best I...

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ORIGINAL: Meyer1<br/> <br/> Well that is related to the nature of the game, most scenarios are made by the users themselves, so what makes a strong point of the game (incredible variety and tons of scenarios), could also be considered a weakness (many scenarios to be PBEM on...

RE: Why no Mac support ??

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ORIGINAL: PipFromSlitherine<br/> <br/> Mac sales are (at best) 10% of Windows sales, generally. If you have a top 10 seller on Steam then it might make sense to spend the 3-6 months doing a port (depending on your engine/UI/etc), as 10% of a lot of sales is going to make it ...

I agree with Queeg, and it is a pretty good history lesson as well. The AI is a good challenge too.

<r> It's a no-brainer at the regular price. A great adaptation of a fantastic board game. RE: How Is It?

<t> My advice: wait and watch the AGEOD site. When you see people actually talking about the game - strategies and AARs - instead of crashes, bugs and home-made scripts and mods to work around crashes and bugs - then consider buying the game. At the moment, both this site and the AGEOD site have ver...

Thumbs Up! Put Me Down For Britain DLC.

Very nice game so far! And the manual is quite good.

Sign me up for a DLC allowing Great Britain (Allied) player against France AI.

RE: Still A Great Game

<t> I've pretty much given up on WoN myself. Even if they successfully patch it, which I think is far from assured, they made some design decisions that make WoN a much more linear game than COGEE. WoN is event driven - you are trying to recreate certain specific historical conditions to trigger a s...
