Mega Campaigns

Back after a long break. A couple of quick questions.

I believe there used to be an issue that saving a mega campaign in the middle of a battle and then picking it up the next day resulted in the loss of VPs for any kills before the save. Has this been fixed or does the battle still need to be played in one sitting?

There was a way to save the game files by copying some of the folders into a separate save area. Can anyone remind me what the files where and where they are located.
