cannot load this scenario

Got this error on the first turn of a PBEM game: "This version of toaw cannot load this scenario." We're both up to date, and I'm playing another PBEM game just fine - any thoughts?

Are you trying to load before the first turn or are you trying to load his replay of the first turn?
