Yes, but it looks like the kami hit occurred after the torpedo hit. I am out of sync though and did not get to see the replay. I will ask Viperpol if it was the torpedo or the actual kamikaze that brewed up the powder room.

Not having dealt with suicide attacks before is it possible that the torpedo was carried by the suicide betty? That would explain it.

A ship that suffers a magazine explosion can continue to be targeted and hit during the combat resolution phase. At the end of the phase, the ship goes and pays a visit to Mr. Jones and is removed from play.
