RE: V1.01.44 Beta Patch

with new compiler it could be possible that it became non-compatible with WinXP.

Any plans to fix that or will XP users be left in the cold?

RE: V1.01.44 Beta Patch

Could well be a compiler parameter issue.

RE: V1.01.44 Beta Patch

<t> This version (1.01.44 beta) does not run under Windows XP ("WarInTheWest.exe is not a valid Win32 application").<br/> The version runs fine with Windows 10 Anniversary. Win7 not checked.<br/> <br/> BTW, in both versions (37 and 44) the City of Cologne is still on the wrong side of the Rhine.<br/...

RE: OoB US Forces Torch

Jeff, thank you very much.
Nothing wrong with wiki, I agree.
However, checking wiki did not bring the desired results for me.
Thanks again.

OoB US Forces Torch

I'm looking for an overview of the Order of Battle of the US Forces during Operation Torch (and later) in Africa.
Any recommendations?

PS: Please no wiki sources.

You got me [:)]
Reading the manual is obviously not sufficient. To memorize seems to be key[;)]
Thanks a lot.

RE: Symbols and Data on map

Joel, thanks for quick answer.
The other values, especially the CVs (Attack, Defense) are also correct?
And where is that explained in the manual (7.5 Combat Units is not clear about this)?

Symbols and Data on map

<r> Trying to decipher numbers on the map I made a screenshot of the US First Armored Brigade (part of it) from Torch / Rommel attacks.<br/> Please confirm that my decipher (in yellow) are correct (and if not so what the numbers really mean).<br/> I admit I have trouble to find those data in the man...

RE: What is the Difference Between -w px1920 py1080 and..

-w : Windowed mode
-wd : Windowed mode, daily autosaves

So there is no difference in resolution.

RE: Win10 upgrade issue

Using: -cpu4 -multiaudio -dd_sw -f -px1920 –py1040 -deepColor -altFont

–py1040 the hyphen looks wrong and should be replaced. For example by copy and paste from one of the other switches

RE: How exactly is the supply flow calculated?

Today, when you position your map in a base hex and hit "5" you see only yellow dots.

Numbers shown when playing against AI.
Yellow dots shown when playing PBEM to prevent revealing data to contrahent.

XP DPI 120 doesn't fit

With XP DPI 120 several screens have overlapping text.
Did anybody find a better set of fonts for this (to be applied in WitwFontConfig.txt)?

Edit: Typo

City of Cologne on wrong side of the Rhine

Not exactly a bug but more of a map issue.
Cologne is on the wrong side of the River Rhine.
The bulk of the city should be in hex 111,184, not 112,184 as it is now.
