Problems with tankers

I'm beginning to find tankers more trouble than they're worth since I have planes repeatedly refueling from them despite me explicitly telling them not to with doctrinal settings. I actually checked and found that in far too many scenarios, planes don't inherit the tanker doctrine making it so I either have to manually go through each plane and set the doctrine to "Inherited" or face serious issues with planes using the tanker when I don't want them to. Is it possible to fix this in a future update?
