Does any Ship Class (Allied/JPN) convert to an ARD?

I can't seem to find any ship class (Allied or Japan) that convert from AK/xAK to an ARD. Are there any ships that can upgrade to a floating dock?

No, and there shouldn't be. It would be like making a riding mower into a pickup truck. Or a flower pot.

I had to go look up pictures of an Auxiliary Repair Dock to see what you meant. [:)]

"Floating dock" is a bit of a misnomer - it should be sinking dock. From the pictures of ships in an ARD that I have seen, the bed of the well deck is above water level when the ships are being worked on. The only way to get the ships into the ARD would be to sink the ARD the requisite number of feet and carefully push them in (or attach lines to the ARD and winch them in. Once the dock is closed up the ballast is blown out and the dock lifts the ships out of the water.

I guess BB USN Fort Drum could convert to an ARD...
