Can't Completely turn off Music

How do you turn off music completely? Load game and click "music" button to turn it off, but when you select new game and go to the scenario selection window music starts playing again. Select a scenario and once the scenarios starts the music continues...sometimes for a just a short time and sometimes until you go to options/audio and turn off music. Workaround? Hopefully it can be fixed in a near future patch.

Nope. There seems to be 2 types of music in game. One is the music that plays in the main startup window and is successfully turned off (and stay off indefinitely) once the "music" button is pressed. This music is tradition civil war era music.

Once you click new game the second type of music plays and it's non-era music. It plays every time and with no way to turn it off that I can find. Once you select a scenario it loads and the non-era music continues to play until either the track finishes or you go to option/audio and turn off music.

When you turn off the era music that plays from the main menu that selection remains persistent, meaning every time you quit program and then start program again it honors that selection. However the non-era music from the scenario selection window ALWAYS plays no matter what.

Check if your have Turn Music off in the game main menu and when playing a scenario at:
Options > Audio Options > Turn Music Off

If this fails rename Music folder as _Music.

No, the only thing that worked was to rename the music folder as you suggested. Future patch.

Yes, just the non-era music in the scenario selection window always plays and has to run through the entire track before it stops. The era music from the main menu starts to play when you start the program then stops after a second or two once the main menus comes up (assuming the no music option was previously selected in the main menu).

I can confirm the 1.02beta has fixed this. All music turns off by selecting no music from the main music or in game. Thank you.
