USA M3A1 Scout Cars

Post by Big Ivan »

Just noticed that none of the USA M3A1 Scout Cars regardless of strength points can't carry infantry or guns.

However, the British White Scout Car can. According to the unit viewer its the same unit historically!?

Not sure if this was said somewhere else before, but figured I'd pass it along to the dev team.

Thanks

They can pull small guns like 45mm AT gun and hold a few troops or the gun crew. They are not all that big. 8 passengers including 1 or 2 crew. BTW, White is the manufacturer, White Motor Company. It's all the same vehicle. M3A1E3 had a pedestal mount for 37 mm gun but was only used on East Front.

8 men per car and 6 cars, that's 1 platoon of men.

Still in game terms, why can the British M3A1(White Scout Car) carry troops and the USA M3A1 can't?
It doesn't make sense.

Hi John,

You must read the F2 description to gather why. The British used them in many roles they were originally unintended to fill, such as APC's, as they didn't have too many other options. The U.S. however, used them primarily as a scouting vehicle, as opposed to an APC! It's therefore a game function issue, I hope this explains?[&:]
