it's a forking Fokker Floatplane. Where did the British get one of those?

It seems to have the Dutch Nat'l insignia on the nose.

Correct!(As usual for JeffK)..

Three Nederlanders "stole" this plane from the ways in Amsterdam and flew to England,and freedom.
It was common for the Netherlands flown units to employ the triangular device on the nose of the plane being flown in the RAF.
This particular plane was flown by the RAF on the western side of GB to not be mistaken for the same planes being flown by the Nazis..
Finland also flew the plane.
