There is nothing to mention about the Allied turn I'm afraid....

The RN do some more p*ssing about in boats, while the Chinese continue to run and hope that the Japanese roll a 1 at some point.

The French have no units to move really so that's about it....

No declarations of war.

Italy continues with yet another combined impulse. The remaining Axis Major Powers take land actions.

No Port Strikes. No naval air.

Italy sail to the Italian Sea with two transporters escorted by a few cruisers. There they embark two infantry units.

Italian submarines have been patrolling the Cape St. Vincent for weeks without spotting any eligible targets. Suddenly they spot ships heading straight at the submarines that dive and can just lie in wait as the first cruiser pass them by. Going back to periscope depth to take a look they see plenty of cargo ships all around them. Even oilers and transport ships. As the Captain is about to launch their torpedoes at the cargo ships he sees a huge ship heading straight for them. He quickly orders a change of target when he realize that he is in the perfect position to fire at a British Carrier.

The search in Cape St. Vincent was successful giving Italy 7 surprise points. I had not really counted the Allied factors before searching. I just noticed the absence of high box escorts and that there were some nice targets in the zero box. Now when the combat was about to begin I counted what combat tables that were going to be used I was disgusted with myself. Way to much ASW factors for my comfort. But since I had to spend 4 surprise points to get a submarine combat I could as well get a surface combat instead. Even though the Italian submarines got reduced strength it didn't matter much since there were so many enemy ships then. And since the Allied escorts were mostly lousy cruisers and a CV that would not hurt me as bad as the submarine combat.

So I selected a surface action with three surprise points left to spend and that was just enough to select HMS Courageous as a target. But, of course, the defence roll was good and the damage was converted to a abort.

Luckily enough the defence roll for the submarine was a success as well so the action just ended with a lot of aborts.

Axis bombers find the two French convoy points in the Eastern Mediterranean and sink them both.

The Allied Army in West Egypt is now out of supply but Axis is in no position to take advantage of this.

No strategic bombing.
while the Chinese continue to run and hope that the Japanese roll a 1 at some point.
Japan do wish that they could roll a '1' since that is what is needed to disorganize Mao. But, alas, this seems unlikely at the moment. Yet another Japanese ground strike fails.

Germany create the 1st Fallschirm-Armee amd rail it to Reggio. von Leeb is transfered to Austria for rest and recuperation.

Italy occupy the minor port Berbera. German panzers overran and destroyed a French fighter squadron. Germany concentrate their forces in France on the remaining British forces. The Japanese forces in the North concentrate on Mao and Tianshui. In South China the Japanese Army is stuck in mud.

Axis forces debark into Tirana.

Germany continue to clear North of France of enemy forces. Japan makes two assaults on the encircled Communist strongholds.

The Allies are really bending over and taking it at sea [&:]

Three RN cruisers sail from Alexandria into the Eastern Med but are found - and surprised - by the Axis forces. HMS Sussex is badly damaged in the attack.

The heavy cruiser limps back to Alexandria while her two companions (thanks to two rolls of 8) manage to continue on their way to the Gulf of Guinea.

They can only be out of supply, when there is an Axis ship or air to sea plane (which is at war with the CW) in the Red Sea and/or Arabian Sea. However, if that should be the case, than at least the Egyptian TERR should be in supply.

This is therefore a bug...
