Stabbed in the back!

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Stabbed in the back!

Week two , as German '41-45, and all my air missions are being cancelled due to fuel/ordanance shortage. As Bugs Bunny would say "sounds like SABA-TA-GEE".

How could that happen in the second week?

Thats what Ive been wondering myself. My airbases report plenty of fuel and ammo. Only recon missions can be flown. I cannot get my units to fly any bombing missions and they are not showing up for any land battles. I get the small dialog box that says lack of fuel/ordanace. I have replayed this turn several times with the same results. Fate..... a bad batch of fuel and/or ammo.

Screenshot, log, save... and how far away are the LW bases away from the railheads? But... can't be the case for all the LW bases, right?

Have you looked at "air doctrine" screen? What settings do you see?

If they appear very high then try setting % required to fly to a lower number and units by task to some lower values.

Might be you've gotten a corrupt file after turn one.

Play the Axis vs. AI all the time and have never seen the message you quoted.

BTW, what version are you using.

Playing version 1.07.15. Percent to fly 10%.

other airdoctrine settings 100 cities at 0,0.

just had to restart game cause airdoctrine stayed locked each turn in "43.
posted in tech section saves are gone.

started this game on 22june to comemerate the event.

upload only takes pics.

"mission cancled fuel/ordanance shortage" like the leader killed screen. for the land battles.

"unavailable or out of range" for the air mission only missions.

Maybe you did a lot of shuffling of aircraft using the transfer option or by moving all of them to/from reserve? If yes, then that's the consequence. New airbases have to fill with fuel and supplies.

Your battle is strange. You have no ground troops attacking and he has nothing defending.

I did no air transfers and I did move 2 ju52 sqds. into reserve. No one is flying anywhere along the front. except for recon.

"Your battle is strange." Shocked me too. LOL I hit the print screen right before the numbers changed. There is is a slight delay caused by the "cancelled" msg.

I'm playing the Russian against an opponent and I see this message all the time for the German air.

I've seen it before, very rarely and it only affected that one mission. For turn 2 in this campaign it has shown up for just about every land battle, and no combat missions other than recon are being flown.
I dont know whether to start over or continue. will keep the turn 2 save.
