1943 and 1944 Scenarios?

Post by derhexer »

In the original WiTP there were two campaign scenarios that I enjoyed - one started 6/28/43, the other started 6/8/44. Is anyone working on something like these for WiTP AE?

I know there are several Marianas invasion scenarios. It would be interesting to plan and carry out invasions at Peleliu and the Philippines.

Thanks[&o]

I am working on a scenario which starts at the end of 1944 -
actually the first day of 1945 - although that may change slightly
depending on when the best OB data is available for?

Called a Downfall scenario, it is not like the stock one - starting
well after the war ends and being limited to a partial map. This
is, instead, a total map scenario - permitting submarines or other
kinds of Japanese ships to go wherever - and engage in attacks
contemplated - except of course the raid on Panama.

The intent is to permit use of the many types of aircraft, ships,
guided missiles and other devices which only appear in the final
phase of the war. It lasts until the end of August 1946. It needs
a lot of work because the OB is radically different from 1941,
and for other reasons as well.

In this mod some Axis Allies are absent. Thailand and NCPC,
for example, are no in play. The Russians are passive but will
enter play during 1945.

1/1/1945 would be a fun scenario, especially as a campaign. Japan is on the ropes, but can still deal some crippling blows and make things very very bloody for the Allies. Looking forward to it
