A terrible truth flashed in my brain!!
You are not the real Btd64.
You are an evil artificial intelligence that took the control of all the developers,
stoled their identity and keep all them trapped in some dark dungeon!!
Oh boy oh boy, where did you put poor Btd and all the others?
Where is the red alarm button?
They are between us!!!!  :D

Do you think he's been replaced by one of those wicked tech companies and their dastardly AI :o

I've just had an idea. Maybe he could get the tech company to do something really useful, write an AI for the game :D

This is the big question I have been wondering with all of this AI talk lately. Will this change the AI in the gaming industry? Will the AI ever go from scripts to an actual playing entity that makes choices and decisions? I am very curious if this will be possible and if this will ever happen?

Yes it will happen one day.

ChatCPT and various paid for AI image creators are creating amazing things with the guidance of humans.

Here is some artwork I created using the AI's, none of these are real photos images or artwork.

Yes some modders have created some great art work for Shadow Empire using AI creations that I am using. What I do see is a lot of artists and writers losing their jobs being replaced by AI. But an AI that can play war and 4X strategy games making strategic choices and decisions that is another story for sure. I imagine that would be quite difficult to make but yes maybe possible in the far future. Will be interesting to see how gaming changes for sure...

Maybe yes, but if it does it may not play very well and could easily be set up for a fall. Then when the same situation presents itself against the same opponent, it may have figured out a counter that would have worked before but the human does something completely different that actually makes the AI's counter move just as bad or worse than the original move.

Ever see the movie "Wargames" yet?

Now make that gaming AI 'cloud-based' so it can play & learn against a few thousand players at once... see where I am going...

No...I have not a single game where I would say the so called "AI" is good... even games from huge companies who should have time and money to invest in "AI" for their game, I cannot remember hearing that there was some kind of breakthrough or amazing "AI"? I do not play new games or from big firms at all... so I may have missed this of course ;) But ppl can correct me and send me to this amazing new game(s) or software w/ alledged super "AI" :D Cause I only played 2 old AGEOD, WITP, EmpireTW and some point and click adventures (Runaway, Lost Horizon, Baphomets Fluch, So Blonde) at all the last years

Imho "AI" is also more a marketing or even propaganda term (for the so called transhumanism agenda perhaps or just that the old science fiction theme of robots/machines taking over shall come true. But it won´t ! Only in your imaginagion - cause of said "AI propaganda" or also these popular clowns like E.Musk, Kurzweil etc. you hear which spread this AI/trans etc.
MANY or MOST people confuse the prop term "AI" with simply software
And software or databases are NOT intelligent on their own!

EDIT; I googled and here a list of (alledgedly) best AI games BUT not a single strategy game?? LOL
https://gamerant.com/best-games-advance ... -isolation

But may try to get one those games and see myself, I believe I had Half Life - but this must be "some" years ago.-.

EDIT2, FEAR has this GOAP (Goal-Oriented Action Planning ) perhaps Matrix could use this too, as this seems to be praised, here an overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdBWk2OVCWc
If this can be adapted to wargames and units instead NPCs (?) But GOAP for sure sounds more reasonable then "AI"
THERE ARE more vids&blogs on the programming of this, so perhaps really the devs should take a look at this - if only as "blueprint"..cause it seems major games like WITP, WITE lack in this regard. YES I know these are diif game systems

If the port where the ship is built is captured, the ship is either destroyed while building or cancelled.

Then that would be a data error as to where the ship is being built!
