8 year old Great Granddaughter
I think that will take the cake. You either started very, very young or you are older than dirt [;)][:)]

Daughter at 23. Granddaughter at 43. Great Granddaughter at 63. I'll be 72 in April. 23 is not very young. Well these days it is since 30 years old seems to be the starting age for families.

We may have to start carding people who come onto this board: If you're not at least 60, bye!

I guess I'm allowed back then... been a while, but 62 in a couple of months :)

I bet a few here already lead troops when the real Punic Wars started. [:D]

In the service we'd says I've been doing 'such and such' since Christ was a corporal..... Not quite back to the Punic wars ;)

A young scrappy 50! here. Lobster, no grandkids....yet! ;)

We'll have to get an apprentice for our Grand Wizard (Bob!) so he can take over and release TOAW5 down the road. Someone needs to learn all of his secret tricks so he can retire some day. :)

Bob was retired. Now he's just tired. [;)]

Looks like Bernie is letting "The Force" do the work. A nearly impossible missile strike to knock out the Chinese super carrier.

I was thinking of something more like..The Mighty Programming Wizard of TOAW (doing all your special updates behind the curtain). "Please ignore the Programmer behind the curtain! Nothing to see here!!" The Klan is a whole other bunch with another forum but I don't think it would apply here. Secret Wargaming community, Yes , but a Klan...Heck No!!

Would you prefer to be called our Grand Poobah instead? AKA => A high-ranking elected position in a secret society, the Loyal Order of TOAW Buffaloes.[:)]
Here, Here! Three Cheers to, Bob!

A BIG sincere Thank You and appreciation for helping keep the TOAW4 project going.

Just so long as I don't have to change my avatar to Nate Forrest. Not sure how that would go over with Matrix. That makes me wonder: Is there anybody on this site sporting a Hitler avatar? A Stalin avatar? Mao?

I have seen a fellow using a Hitler one with a dog, it’s stupid, I don’t get why folks want to use someone from history that is not who they really are. Case in point Bob Cross using Curtis Lemay, I think it’s wrong and disingenuous and sends a wrong message, why do they need to hide their true identity? Why use Stalin or Gudarian, or some famous General? At least there is truth and a joke behind mine. It’s an ASL counter of a US Sherman tank in Russian service, I am a first generation Russian but an American born citizen. My nick is both part of my last name and in Russian culture as I understand it means “son of” so it’s a play on words “sons of”.

. . . is not who they really are.

I think use of an avatar is more to project an image of how you want to be perceived and little to do with history. Lemay’s image is fine with me. On the other end of the spectrum would be images which humanity finds repulsive . . . and if that is the way a person wants to be perceived; you treat them as such.

It doesn't appeal to me and in some cases serves to promote an ego (I can think of one user in particular who had the username of a very famous general who is mainly known for personal bravery and ultimately being executed for his ostensibly noble actions). Lemay is at least a sufficiently obscure character (at least to me) that I don't find it ridiculous. I'm sure Bob has his reasons. Or maybe he just likes cigars.

Mine is a complete accident. I was playing Quake over a LAN and I had to choose a colour and picked a bright gold. I thought "Golden Delicious" went nicely with that, and never looked back.

I originally had an account here using my given name. But then I left the board for a few years. When I came back, I'd forgotten the password. And you can't create a new account under an existing name. So...I decided to become my favorite general.

And, yes, Ben, it is the largest and most turgid cigar on this site.

Makes sense. I can show off my 2000 joining date on my profile from back before The Great Deletion- the benefits of having had the same email address the whole time.

Ew.
